Major fire on Monday, February 26th, 2024. Fortunately no injuries or deaths. Redfield and surrounding communities are heartbroken. The owners are rebuilding and The Dexfield Diner will be back.

Stopped in yesterday for lunch with a good friend so we could catch up. I haven’t been here since I was in highschool 15 years ago and it was like a totally different place. Loved it. The food was phenomenal and the service was good. Very reasonably priced. The owner even came out for a bit and conversed with us. Every table in there got good and prompt service from what I saw. I also hear they have an absolutely incredible tenderloin from quite a few people. 10/10 will be back! Support local businesses!

The food is a hit or miss sadly. Great people serving and checking up on the people, but the food can be awesome or it can be midHey Steve idk if I can contact you directly or whatnot. I was actually there a couple of days ago I believe. My friend and I ordered, I had a burger and he had a patty melt. My burger was just fine, his bread though was burnt and his patty was rather thick. But the fries and cheese curds were delicious.

The prime rib was fantastic, as usual. Fork tender and perfectly prepared. Crispy thin onion rings, sumptuous garlic Texas toast that I could eat for a meal. Great service in a quaint small town joint.

Every time we order takeout there is always something wrong! Never ready on time and they always have a silly excuse! Didn’t get a top bun to my burger called and they laughed about it. Always something new!

Best small town restaurant in the area. Had the tenderloin with fries. It was meaty and beaded perfectly. Clearly, they take pride in their food and came with all the classic iowa fixings. Liquor was low priced, and the beer was ice cold. They have a free arcade in the left room, and the location is really close to the bike trail. I'll be back in a few days for the pie, and tenderloin even though I live downtown.
