My boyfriend and I are currently hiking the American Discovery Trail, from Delaware to California. This trail system uses the Raccoon River Valley Trail that goes through Redfield. Luckily we were here when they were still open for the season as a fellow hiker had said that this place is an absolute must. So, we got out of the rain and took a short break, enjoying a chocolate cherry shake and waffle fries. The waffle fries were hot and fresh, they tasted delicious. And the shake was so thick you had to eat it with a spoon, and that is not a complaint! We liked the place's style, with its vintage decor and oldies music.

This was a great place to stop for a snack at the 1/2 way point of my ride on the Racoon River Valley Trail. I had a very tasty raspberry banana shake. The ladies working there were very friendly. It's just one of those pleasant small town burger and ice cream shops. I definitely want to go back and try the food.

Three people working, all refuse to take my order, finally someone does and while I was waiting for an ice cream cone I turn around after hearing some shady whispers to see the owner, a worker, and a few older ladies gossiping about me! Not a good look! Will most definitely be driving to Stuart for my ice cream fix from now on!
