A couple of miles into our day on the Pioneer Trail, we arrived in the tiny town of Morrison. We could have kept going, but we wanted to stop at Morris Inn Steakhouse - we had our hearts set on coffee and pie after seeing online that their pies are homemade. Raisin cream, and lemon meringue - both were so delicious! I was a little sad that I didn't bring more of an appetite for lunch, everything on the menu sounds amazing. That just means we'll have to come back! Friendly...
Order the prime rib. It was expensive and tough. The meat had sat out as it was cold too. A very poor quality of prime, lower end grade. They might be ok for a hamburger, but lousy with top drawer meats. Service was slow and not as attentive as it should be.. order onion rings and it consisted of a slice of onion for a quarter order.. I won't return.
First time there, super neat place! Reminded me of my hometown. Old building, lots of character including critters stuffed on the walls. Super friendly staff. Appetizers were great, especially the mountain of onion rings! Steak was good and saw lots of people enjoying burgers. Drinks were plentiful in the bar area after dinner!
