Great place for a sandwich

The Lunch House recently assisted me in catering 2 events for 20-30 people. The box lunch style meal was very conveniently packed, arrived hot, and was very tasty. The staff was very pleasant and professional to work with. Definitely recommend them for all your catering needs!

We have now had two employee Christmas parties with the lunch house and both times were awesome! Most recently we had the roast beef + spinach artichoke chicken as an option and both were delicious. The roast beef was so tender!! 🤤We will definitely book again!

The French fries are the best I have ever had!!! Ever. Good prices. I love the chicken and brisket sandwich. Super friendly. Party room that is good sized for showers and such. I highly recommend that you stop in for a meal. You will leave very full and happy.

So the food was good, if not great, but their service model needs work. They wouldn't have noticed me come or go if it wasn't for their door alarm (yes alarm, not bell). I ordered my meal and they didn't want to give me coins. Not pennies. Any coins. After a while, I realized my bill was too high and I asked how I got overcharged. She said the prices are 20% higher than listed, they just haven't changed them. That's literally illegal. It's false advertising and in some states (not sure about Iowa) they are required to honor it. And it's marker on paper, which would take 10 minutes and $3 to fix. Then my sandwich comes deconstructed with my artichoke spinach on the side instead of on top of my sandwich, where it belongs. The ketchup was supposed to be there, but I didn't get it. I didn't want to bother asking all the hens talking in the back because they seemed much more interested in the backroom (catering??) business than to pay attention to the front counter. And the drinks are unlabeled for price. So basically, every price was unknown and higher than I expected. And I got most of what I wanted, as long as I put it together myself. And they only open until 7pm. If you're going to be open for supper, keep open to 8. I probably won't come back, because I normally can't get there before 7, but if I could, I could get my food fully assembled elsewhere, cheaper.

First time dining experience at this local restaurant. The dining room decor and appearance is pleasing and well done. The establishment has a decent menu consisting mostly of sandwiches and salads. Most menu items vary in cost between $8 - $12. Some menu options were slightly more expensive. The beef brisket sandwich was delicious and appears to be one of the establihsment's more popular menu items. I ordered fries as my included side item and it was recommended to they their "wonder sauce?". I could be wrong about the name of the dipping sauce. Anyway, the brisket sandwich was wonderful and had great smoked flavor.I unfortunately am not from the area, but if I was I would not hesitate to return for more positive dining experiences.
