What a great small town restaurant. Local owner Karen was very friendly and took the time to tell us about how she acquired the restaurant and its history. The food was also very good. Great place to stop along highway 18. Will definitely stop again.
Just passing through town and looking for some dinner. The atmosphere was great, such a cool building, the waitress was great, I can't remember her name, beautiful girl with long dark hair, she was filling in for someone. The food was delicious. I had a southwestern salad it was excellent, hubby had a burger and hash browns they were delicious also our friends shared a prime rib philly and fries and they said it too was delicious.
I recently visited the Rail for a private party. The restaurant was clean, cozy, decorated for fall. The bartender and waitresses were attentive and pleasant.
The food was delicious. We had several beautiful delicious charcuterie boards! Fresh veggies, hard Salami, pickles, olives, dips, cold meats, cheeses……! Our meal was just like Mom would have made!!! Thick Iowa chops, mashed potatoes, best gravy ever, brown sugared carrots! Homemade pumpkin cake with cream...
