The staff was great and the food was absolutely fantastic!! My daughter got a cheeseburger, which she said was cooked to perfection, and I had a delicious cheese steak!! We also got the tavern sampler for an appetizer, which has a little bit of fried mushrooms, onion rings, jalapeno poppers, waffle fries, and fried cheese balls!! We'll definitely stop in again!!
I thought the food was excellent. I had the lunch special of a pulled pork sandwich, fries, and coleslaw. (I don't like everyone's coleslaw but it was great.) The waitress was very friendly and allowed my friends and I to sit and visit since we were all from out of town. We will meet there again.
This was my first trip to Sigourney and when we arrived we found out that a couple of the other spots we were thinking about eating at were closed on Mondays. The Copper Lantern was right on the corner of the square. It had a great small town feel as a bar and restaurant. My party was made to feel like we were some of the locals as a couple of different nearby tables included us in a couple of their conversations.
