Delicious New York Strip steak! Got it medium rare and it was spot on, mashed potatoes and gravy + corn + garlic bread really hit the spot. Was really busy due to a softball tournament so didn't get seated right away but the food came out quickly.
The food wasn’t very good, under seasoned, undercooked, and bland. Our steaks were very disappointing and not even seared. Our waiter was very friendly but unprofessional joking about his boss and using inappropriate language. The bathrooms were very messy and the restaurant was DEAD silent (no music). Most likely won’t be returning.
We enjoyed it. Huge pancakes! Nice waitress. Quiet. My French toast could have been cooked more as one side didn't look like it even touched the grill, but overall, lots of food for little $$.
We stopped in for supper and our food was Excellent. A bit of a wait to be seated but we'll worth it. Service was quick as was our meal. Will be back before I leave the area.
One of the best streaks I've had in a LOOOOONG time. Ordered the ribeye medium rare and they cooked it to perfection. Not too overcooked, not too undercooked -- just perfect. Seasoning on the steak was the right amount. The steak was bursting with flavors and juices. Absolutely heavenly. Thank you Ryan (my server) for taking care of me. I will most definitely return!

It was “active”, let’s say. Not busy, when I walked in. It took 10 minutes to order a drink, and 5 more to actually get it. The food came out in a reasonable time and was decent. I sat there with an empty glass for most of my meal. I easily would have had 4 beers. I guess I’m not old or regular enough for them. Money is money though, right? Very disappointed.

Dirty floor seats are horrible no cushions seating on the wood slats on the bench. Grissle in the ribeye and more in the newyork strip. All the fried things had the same taste like it was done in the same batter sweet and same oil but fried pickles were all over done crispy chewy. It all looked good but bland taste. Steak had grill marks on one side the other looked almost uncooked. Wild rice tasted old like it had been stuck it it's pot all day. No flavor to the fried shrimp. Reese's cake tasted old from frozen, peanuts were chewy like old stail frozen peanuts bits. Something gave the wife and I quality time in the bathroom before we left town. Sweet potato fries were good mash potatoes and gravy were good. The cottage cheese was watery tasting. The wife said it did not taste like cottage cheese. The bread was to moist like it was under cooked. I had high hopes for this place but it failed. Way overpriced for that meal.

The menu was more varied than I'd expected in rural Iowa on a rainy summer week night. It had a family atmosphere and the food was excellent.
