We were here on Saturday October 11th and we were disappointed in the bartender . She wasn’t very attentive , and seemed distracted and not customer focused . It looked like a neat place and we didn’t want to give up on it entirely yet . We have been in and around the area for a week, and visited many breweries . This place has a lot of potential , but just needs the right staff for an A+. Being worried about washing glasses and leaving more than 4 patrons with empty glasses and not acknowledging guest won’t cut it . We returned two days later to give it a go again . Much different experience. Grace was the bartender and she’s great at her job. Greeting everybody who comes in the door and a beers hits the bar moments after you arrive ; top notch. Glad we stopped again and Grace saved us from writing this place off . Beer selection fair. Very cozy feel of interior for restaurant-bar. Great place to have a date night .

Went here for bachelorette party. We had a party of 9 and originally had asked for reservations and informed they do not do reservations but took our name down a week before. Day of dinner called to confirm. When we got there was told they did not have any tables available and no record of request and no seating was available. This was frustrating due to it is not easy to go anywhere with a large party and get seating. Owner noticed issue and quickly made accommodations for seating with free appetizers. We appreciated his quick response and good customer service. Food was great, drinks were good and reasonable price with nice atmosphere. Waitress was attentive and pleasant.

Ordered wings…..great breading but the meat was tougher than tough…..would not order again…friend ordered the side salad(6 or 8 )shreds of lettuce and 9 chick peas….wasn't happy with the so called vinaigrette so order a little bit of thousand island…..they had the audacity to charge 75 cents for 2 thimble full of this…..will not be going here again….btw tipped 40% Jamison was excellent….

Big grove has delicious tasty food! I’ve been to both locations in Solon and Iowa City and they’re both great. However, I was devastated when Solon removed their Parmesan encrusted grilled cheese because it is truly the best one I’ve ever had!:(( I don’t go there as much because that used to be my usual order. Love the restaurant but would love to see it back on their menu again. I wish everyone could try it.
My favorite go-to restaurant especially when the Brussel Sprouts are on the menu! Shout out to the chefs for adapting this dish to be celiac safe ?

Drinks were tasty! My husband enjoyed the Easy Eddy and I sipped on the Sutliff Cider just happened in during Happy Hour 3-6. Emma was helpful in making our decision with the choice of to go drinks. She was polite and knowledgeable about the product! Great stop on our road trip to grab some drinks for the cabin getaway. Emma gave us some stickers so we will remember Big Grove! We will be back! Great customer service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Solon location has a different menu from the IC location. Lovely atmosphere and staff. The staff went above and beyond to make a mocktail mix I liked. They came back to ask if I was happy with the mocktail and made a second one for me to try a different flavor - I liked both. The desserts tasted so good. The mix of the sorbet ice cream together with the berries, shortbread, and cream was delicious. Not too sweet and had an added tanginess that was just perfect. If you like cookies and milk, you can’t go wrong with that either. Would recommend this location and would come here again.
