Very delicious. A group of us ordered some food, and to stick with my diet I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. It was delicious! Everyone gave great remarks on their dishes. Highly recommend.

Great food which is more authentic than American style. The service was terrific with the waiter being the owner as well. He was very nice and we got to hear his story of how his family came to the U. S. as well as how he established his restaurant. The price was very reasonable for the quality of food. We will be sure to visit again during our travels to this area.

We stopped by for lunch with the kids. What a little gem! Terrific service and amazing food. Best authentic Mexican we’ve had in Iowa. Homemade tortillas are beyond description...I could have happily eaten them plain. If you are in the area or willing to take a little drive, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back.

We were in Toledo/Tama area for a meeting and found this place via Tripadvisor. Because of it's reviews we decided to give it a try. The reviews speak the truth! I had the Pollo Loco and my business partner had the Speedy Gonzales. Both delicious! Thank you El Cerito - keep up the good work.

We've been fans of this great restaurant for years. Everything is great!! Lately we don't even need a menu, Jose & his wife Maggie, know what we want. Mine is El Tucan & my husband has Camarons ala Mommia. We visit almost every week & occasionally take friends & family. Their Margaritas are the BEST! Homemade salsa & guacamole can't be beat.

This is the best tasting Mexican restaurant in Tama-Toledo! The fajitas, refried beans and salsa are amazing! Armando is usually our server and does a great job! We eat here regularly and have never had a bad experience!
We frequent El Cerrito! Their street tacos are the best, carné, cilantro & lime on a corn tortilla...YUM!! We attempt to order something different every time we go. We have NEVER had a bad meal!! The family that own the small restaurant greet us and treat us like we are family, too.
