I'm not usually one for museums and tours, but I got to say. I'm very impressed with how that went. It was actually very interesting. The selection of whiskeys was a lot bigger than I was expecting and they have some really great whiskey. I'll definitely be returning again with some friends. The perfect mix of old Town Iowa with a comforting modern feel

Really fun experience if you have the chance to join a tour! Super informative and great facilities. You get to try a bit of whiskey at the end, too. Worth the trip out here!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Templeton Distillery, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! The museum tour was simply outstanding! Informative, interesting, and flawlessly choreographed. The way they brought the history and heritage of the distillery and the town of Templeton to life was truly impressive. My favorite story is about how the entire town worked together against, “THE MAN” who would come from Chicago and try to enforce prohibition. Even the sheriff was in on it! "Hey sheriff...nice hat!"Moving on to the distillery tour itself, I was blown away by the level of detail and passion that went into explaining the art of distillation. Our guide, Sammie, was knowledgeable, entertaining, and made the process engaging and fun.The Smokey Old Fashioned was an absolute game-changer. It was hands down the best Old Fashioned I have ever had, and I've had my fair share of them. The smoke came from barrel char and cherry wood and was PHENOMINAL on top of a 6 year old rye and garnished with candied oranges and a Luxardo cherry.I can't say enough about the wonderful staff who made this experience even more enjoyable. They were friendly, accommodating, and clearly passionate about their craft.Overall, Templeton Distillery exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Whether you're a whiskey connoisseur or just looking for a pit-stop in "small town U.S.A." this place is a must-visit.Cheers to the team at Templeton Distillery for an unforgettable experience!

Family vacation to Iowa to see family (were from Dallas, Texas) thought this would be a cool thing to do with the family. Learned a lot about the history of making whiskey and what they had to do back during the older days. It's also pretty cool to watch them bottling up the whiskey as we were going through the tour.

I visited the Templeton Distillery in Carroll, IA … finally. I now regret not going sooner. I’ve been a fan of their classic 4 year Rye for a long time, their 6 year Rye is great as well. But the real eye opener is their 10 year Straight Corn Whiskey. This is 86 proof, Limited Edition (6,000 bottles) and only available at the distillery. The corn whiskey is outstanding!!! I didn’t have time to take the full tour, but did a tasting. I’ll be back again for the tour and more samples!

Bought me a bottle of the 6yr old last time I was through.....that's some mighty fine RYE, it's a shame their not going to be open when I get in the area I was hoping to get a bottle or 2...would like to have a jug of the 10yr old I heard about....3/27

Bought a bottle of 6 year at the Templeton Distillery today which I liked but was disappointed when I read on the bottle it is distilled in Indiana and not in Templeton, Iowa.

Cool place to do a quick tour. We rode from Sioux City and this was our midpoint. Was a great ride up Old 141 and the tour was pretty cool too. We had a tasting of the new bourbon and it was smooth. Little history, lotta fun, and end with a shot...how can you go wrong. Military is free for the tour as well. Well worth the stop.
