The range has always been a favorite of my family! We visited this past week to celebrate our daughter's birthday (her choice!) We were the only customers in the restaurant area, in addition to what appeared to be 2 employees (who were either on break or not currently working) but were "laying" in a booth. Our service was SLOW and the food was nothing like it was the last time we visited. I indicated to the server that my broccoli side was either "freezer" burned or "expired" as it tasted awful. In addition, my chicken entree was cold. Another guest with us ordered the crusted salmon, but the "crusted" portion ended up being smeared all over the top. The service and food were definitely sub-par, which is very disappointing because as I originally indicated, it is a fave of ours. The best thing (as always!) was the skillet cookie!!

Hours on Google and their website say they close at 10pm during the week, attempted to stop by tonight for an after dinner drink before 9pm and found the doors locked. Did the hours change?

Our server went above and beyond to serve my friend and I. She gave us recommendations that were phenomenal. The food was 10/10 fantastic! Totally recommend!

This place always has great service and atmosphere! In particular, Jessie at the bar is magnificent. She is kind, thoughtful, fun and a great bartender. You cannot go wrong with her drinks and service! Head out that way and enjoy.

Interesting place. Food was good. We had a business lunch with 7 total. We were there for lunch. I’m thinking a different use of the facility utilizing the golf simulators would be different.

I had the prosciutto & fig flatbread. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food.

I had high hopes for The Range in Des Moines, and I’ll give credit where it’s due the food was actually *good*. Well-prepared, tasty, and definitely the highlight of the visit.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was brought down by the staff. Throughout our meal, employees were loudly arguing with each other in front of guests. It made the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable. It’s hard to enjoy good food when you're surrounded by drama and raised voices.
If management can get the front-of-house behavior under control and create a more professional environment, this place could really shine. But until then, I won’t be back.

I have never wrote a review. Get the Range burger with the beast patty. You will not regret it. Parm fried are 🔥. Will forsure come again.

Pretty good overall. We ate the Buffett on Farher's Day. Great selection and good taste. Lids were off and food wasnt quite at perfect temps. Manager realized this and made corrections. Definitely give it a try

The Range has amazing bison. My favorite is their steak salad, but they have good burgers and a great entree selection as well as flatbreads. I love their cocktails and they always have good wines to enjoy with their charcuterie board. Buy what surprises me is that they have THEE BEST wings!! Always a go-to for me.

This indoor golf facility has high quality bays perfect for a round. The bar and staff make for a festive atmosphere. Menu items don't disappoint.
