Normally I love this place. Today sucked. Came in. I was the only one here. Order a chicken gyro and cheese sticks. The lady at the counter was super nice and brought my food. The cheese sticks were still frozen in the center. I brought them back up. The cook just microwaved them. The cheese spilled out and they got soft and soggy. And that’s what they tried to hand back to me. I said “were they microwaved?” And they said yes. Like you couldn’t pick them up because they were soft and gross. I said “no thank you I don’t want them” and the lady at the counter offered to remake them. The counter lady is great. The cooks seem lazy today for as empty as the place is. If I wanted microwaved cheese sticks I could have purchased some from the freezer section at the grocery store Pretty sure I got the microwaved ones back again….

Ted's coney island is a special place for me. Because my mom comes from out of town once a week and we go to the nearest Park and eat it at a picnic table right off the Urbandale library. I get the tenderloin and my mom gets the ginnigrinder .they are both awsome. Go there soon.

The food is absolutely amazing however, they need to work on cleaning the dining room. There were cobwebs on the light above the table and in the window attached to the cardboard table tent.

First question out of my mouth was do you guys have classic baskets with 3 hot dogs like every single coney island ever right lady says yeah its the 5$ sum and 9 meal item the number one on the menu i look at her again and ask that has three hot dogs she says yes ... My gf wants two i convinced her to buy the classic 3 hot dogs ... Lady behind the counter gets all confused for some reason then tells me oh no thats not 3 hot dogs thats the meal then why did you say at the very beginning of the conversation if you sold them in groups of three like every coney island ever yeah no lady tried selling me the meal multiple times she was literally trying to sell me three meals to eat myself when i broke it down because she clearly doesn't speak English i find out she lied the first time in order to get us to just buy a meal never returning I'm super glad i caught that before paying for two extra meals when all me and my gf wanted where 9 hot dogs maybe keep an English speaking employee on staff or something thats guaranteed not the first time thats happened
