Blackened seafood quesadilla and Angus burger were excellent. Great iced tea. Desserts are yummy and huge. Excellent service and cozy atmosphere. Easy for my disabled spouse to access the building. We try and go in off hours so we can sit near the entrance.

The only reason it wasn’t a one star review is because the food was still hot by the time I got home but the food wasn’t very good I had to season most of the food myself because it was all under seasoned and the ribeye I ordered was full of fat the ranch for the side salad wasn’t very ranch flavored the Mac and cheese wasn’t very cheesy even though it is just noodles and cheese and the chicken Alfredo wasn’t very good kind of bland and the ribs aren’t very good either

Enjoyed lunch here with some friends. Have also had supper here in the past. Walking in it is very dark and takes a minute for your eyes to accommodate to the dim lit setting. There are many different options to choose from ranging from salads, burgers, sandwiches, pastas and entrees, including options for smaller, lunch size portions. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and service was top-notch. Plenty of parking available as well.

Disappointment does not begin to describe our experience at the Urban Grill in Urbandale. Absolutely obscene what they charged for a Ruthie draft beer. Nothing short of price gouging at a hefty $9 a glass!!! That’s more than the margarita we ordered! That is over half the cost of our entree. Have never paid this much for a Ruthie. First red flag we should have heeded – no pricing on their drink menu, no matter the type of drink. Even more telling, the drink menu did not include a beer selection list. Clearly a sign that they change their pricing at will. No credibility. Feeling taken advantage of and the “manager” was powerless when we expressed our concern. Blamed it all on the owners, whomever they are, and how “things have gotten so expensive”. Maybe so, but no one else in the Des Moines area charges this price for an everyday type of beer. Won’t be back.

Henry is a 5 star waiter. Ask for him and you will get excellent service . Food we ordered was also great. As I understand it, this is a Des Moines restraunt, not a chain. It has great ambience.
