Fantastic A&W restaurant. It's tucked into the corner of their gas station, with probably only about 225 square feet in the seating area, but the gas station is nicely decorated with mostly wood panelled walls, and so looks much nicer than the simple white plaster and tile that 80%+ of gas stations normally use. The staff has always been nice and fast, and their food is fantastic! A great place to go!
If not for nostalgia this would only deserve a 3 star rating. I mean it is inside a gas station in a small rural town... I loved what genuine A&W stuff they did have but I hated that it was 61° out and they had the air-conditioning on (try enjoying an ice cream float when you're already shivering). Apparently they never turn the heat on, fyi. The food was somewhere in the middle. An A&W float is hard to mess up so that was good of course. But they put it in a to go cup (& the food in to go bags) despite ordering for dine in. The floats in the glasses are really the only way to order one...seriously they are even better that way. The food itself was, meh. I ordered the Double Mushroom Melt. It definitely had plenty of canned mushrooms but very little meat. I'm not sure why the canned mushrooms surprised me but maybe if there wasn't so many of them it wouldn't have been as off putting. The rest of the flavors were good and the kids meal came with a lollipop which was nice. Overall if it wasn't for the nostalgia I probably wouldn't be back though, except on a hot day for a float. And even then only if I was near there anyways.
Used the drive through, and while delays are inevitable, this one seemed excessive given the one car ahead when we arrived and one behind. Our order was 2 meals. Food was put together with little care (burger was quite the pile), and we were missing the ranch for the chicken we ordered. Overall not a super great experience, but the food tasted good.
I wouldn't come here if you are on a time crunch. They do have a drive through but the wait time is around the same as Culver's price is also about the same. Food wise though blows everything I have had out of the park. This may just be me. Cheese curds best I have ever had. Chicken tenders better than Popeyes. Chili cheese fries mmm amazing. I remember having Sriracha flavored cheese curds and wow. Ice cream on par with DQ taste wise. Better texture though. Recommend to try at least once.
Your order will take a few minutes but it's made fresh. And the employees do a very good job on trying to get your food to you as quick as possible. And when I have my dogs they give them pup cups. Ice cream with a doggy treat on top.
Salty burgers 20 min drive thu wait times...called the manager and she just made excuses like it was my fault!!!
My husband and I were both satisfied with what we got. It was an A&W within a gas station so limited to space. The food was ok but not as good as a free standing restaurant.
Every time we have gone, food and service was great!
Try a blended root beer float, called a freeze. Better than a float!
Love the coney dogs!!!

They forgot a whole meal. They always mess up my shakes too. The only reason I go anymore is because they have good root beer
Very simple instructions and couldn't get it right.... no tomatoes and no pickles and yet still had it on my burger. Nobody in line either.
Very slow tonight waited 15 minutes for a hot fish sandwich and ice cold fries;(
Good burgers and fried cheese curds
Great food. Harper (dog) was happy for the dog treats too!
