Small town eatery. Some places like this you go to are must haves, and some are just ok. To me, this place was just ok. Service was decent, but not stellar. Had to ask a few times for things that should be just given or available.The cheese balls were good, but aside from someone frying with old grease, it’s hard to go wrong making those.The meals themselves were basically what you would make at home after coming home from buying in the frozen section at Walmart. Good food, great prices, friendly service, clean, family owned. Cafe on one side and walk through to the bar next door. So bring the family or come with your posse. A stones throw from Blackhawk lake. Very nice for us locals and a nice day trip for those looking for a nice afternoon in western Iowa. I've been there many times over the years and never been disappointed.
