great food good people fare prices.. what every town needs. highly recommend Moke and Shirleys!!!

August 31, 2024 -- We were able to have our 50th class reunion there and it was perfect! They closed to the public and served up a meal for us featuring their famous fried chicken, hot and crispy. There was enough room to move around, and still have seating for all. A perfect home-town venue! They did the cooking and clean-up, we just had to show up. Thank you Moke & Shirley's... it was great!!!

Cute hometown diner with welcoming staff. Owner/chef takes pride in his establishment and the food he prepares. Ask for special dietary restrictions and he accommodates. Great basic menu that'll meet everyone's preferences. If you're in the area, be sure to grab a meal or homemade dessert!!

The food was pretty good and the price was right. The waitress was helpful in recommending things from the menu I would most definitely return

I love Moke and Shirley’s. Working in wapello I order for lunch frequently and am never disappointed! I look forward to ordering when i’m in Wapello! We even bring the kids for breakfast and the kids love their pancakes!!

worst service plus if you call no answer

The service was horrible, the older woman that served us in the morning had a horrible attitude. They questioned why I asked for two cups of ranch (for a two people) at the kitchen and thought I couldn’t hear them. They still proceeded to bring me one. Food was good but customer service completely ruined my appetite. My daughter and I won’t be back.

It's like an old-fashioned diner with excellent service and the food is very good. I had a cheeseburger and fries, and my husband had the lasagna. We will be going back soon.

Love the restaurant, they make you feel like family. Waitress we had was fantastic! You need to try this restaurant out! Five star!

Delicious food. Super friendly staff. 10/10 recommend stopping here. I got the Philly Cheesesteak and a slice of Pumpkin Cake for dessert.
