My wife and I ate here at noon March 14 while in town for an appointment. She had chicken cordon bleu and said it was much better than what she had at another restaurant in downtown Washington last fall. I ordered the 5-piece catfish strips with cole slaw and French fries. All very good. And included in our meals was a scoop of ice cream. We both chose strawberry. Our waitress was excellent. Will definitely eat here again when in town!
Waitress always kind and helpful

The Sunday before labor day, it was very busy (party because most of the other restaurants were closed). They separated some of the large group tables to make more 4 person seating.
Food was good. There are a handful of vegetarian options. I ordered the vegetable scramble (hash browns with veggies).

Was told to pick a seat when we arrived. Asked to move because we were taking up a large table for just having two in our party and it was a Sunday and they were expecting bigger parties. We were then moved to a small table by the kitchen door…. Had to move the table to avoid sitting it the entryway. We drove 45 mins to just eat at this restaurant. We weren’t from Washington. We were made to feel like we were an inconvenience because we were a party of two. My husband is a very tall and bigger guy. He doesn’t fit well in a booth. He has a knee that doesn’t bend well and it’s difficult for him to get in and out of them. Not that they care but we will never be back as we are not important enough to be treated any better than that. Sad because we eat out a lot and will just go somewhere else.

Family of 4 stopped in for some food on the 4th of July. Sat for 30 mins and never got served. After being walked passed 5 or 6 times by different waitresses we got up and left. We always try to support locally owned restaurants but this will be added to the list of never agains.

The Frontier was everything I had hoped for. I only managed to get there before I had to head to the airport, but the place is just as comfortable as my favorite family restaurant back home. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breaded tenderloin sandwich had to be the best meal I ate during my short stay, and the hearty chicken noodle soup was delicious despite my having to chug it rapidly before going through TSA. I understand the hype now, and I don't believe I can come back to Iowa without stopping here again.
