Stopped in while out of town, googled food near me, saw a photos of food. Amazing restaurant will definitely be back owner happened to be our server and was awesome! Service food and atmosphere are 100%! Bathrooms were super clean!

JP's is always good. The service is also excellent but they could staff more people so that the waitress doesn't also have to cook. Wait time is often long. Worth it though!

I like the idea of a very simple menu, with sandwiches and wraps, pizza, wings and some fried items. Our waitress was outstanding she made great cocktails. I love the story about the restaurant on the menu it really sets the whole scene. My husband and I really enjoyed it. If you want a quick bite to eat, we'll here ya go.

It's a cute little bar in downtown Washington, Iowa. I love the basement atmosphere, like you're drinking and having fun during the prohibition. We attended there to support a friend who was performing live. Upon arrival, the bar staff told us to sit anywhere we wanted. We waited for 30 minutes, and I proceeded to walk up to the bar to order food and drinks. I was told that the wait staff would come around shortly. I sat back down and waited another 30 minutes. Others who came in after us ordered and got their food and drinks. It was like my wife and I were invisible. I went back to the bar and ordered drinks and food. After another 30 minutes, we got our drinks and food. My wife loves a good ol' old-fashioned, and she said it was mostly water. I had a draft beer and the portion size was quite small for an $18 appetizer. I never got a bill and had to wait quite some time to pay my bill. If I had a choice, I would never go back. I've been to a lot of bars, and I've never had to wait 90 minutes to hold a beer. I had looked the menu up online before visiting - I would've ordered considerably more food if the service wasn't so terrible.

Great staff!!! Very well put together downstairs bar, not over the top with extra lighting, modest and welcoming. I tried the house special for the night. Pizza panini, amazingly good and more then what I expected. Good food, good service and great beer selection. What more can you ask of a small town bar?!?
