Eating eating here the other night I have to say this is in the league of Sam and Pagliais. The cheese is legit and even though it doesn't feel like an authentic pizza house, if you're talking about quality of pizza at a great bar this place is 10 out of 10 - the aesthetic ambience feels like out of a movie from the 1950s and at the end of the day it's good local old-school West branch County.

In the cutest little town in what felt like nowhere Iowa, we were starving. We stopped in here and knew the pizza would be awesome just by the look and feel of the place. The old fashioned register and quaint bar in the back shows the original character of the place hasn't wavered. You order at the counter and take a seat. There are tvs for games, darts, and pool in the back for while you wait. Would definitely stop in again.

Amazing small town, mom and pop bar and pizza spot. The saying “it’s more fun to eat at a bar than to drink at a restaurant” sums this place up nicely. Great local flair.Located in a great downtown, pizza was amazing, service was local and real. Prices were more than fair. Next time you cross Iowa on 80, stop!

Fun old place. You need to pre-order and then they will bring it out. There also is a bar and tvs. It seems to be a real locals place.

I came in this weekend with friends and have been in on a Tuesday and treated poorly! We were asked “Yeah what do you need” not even greeted The Bartender clearly does not want to be there when she’s on her phone and or sitting at a table ignoring people waiting at the bar because she’s sitting and chit chatting at the table with people! The Bartender told us she didn’t want to even be there and she was closing early! Not very friendly for someone who hardly visits I felt I was being a burden to her to show up and spend money! My friends and I left after two because of how we felt and we were a large group!

This is your typical small town pizza place. I had a cheese pizza, which was pretty good. My biggest complaint is that there were flies that needed to be shooed away, which is a real turn-off for me when it comes to restaurants. The best part about this place is its proximity to the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library, and the historical village is just a few yards away.
