Must be under new management. Food (tacos, casadia and enchiladas) were very bland. No seasoning at all. Used to be our favorite. Won't be coming back.

It seems to be part of the hotel registration area. Once you figure it out, you're okay. But the food is definitely worth it and considering the prices definitely worst stopping.

Food was decent. Very greasy over all. Chips were burnt. Cheese dip tasted like it was watered down with cream of mushroom soup. Menu is super expensive. $3.25 for a fountain drink. I got the special (3 tacos) that was $15.25. Our waiter was decent and kind, but he was more interested in the soccer match on TV (TBH I was too). I had to go to the register to check out without first getting a ticket. I had to ask for a ticket to make sure I was paying for what I ordered. I did request some rice and beans to go, but our waiter had forgotten. Thankfully it was not on our ticket/receipt. Over all not a terrible local place. It is just too expensive and slow service for me.

We went there about 9:30-10 pm on a Saturday and the server told us the price was $20.50 for a shrimp platter. When we got the bill the coat was $30. I addressed the miscommunication with the manager and had to argue with him for 10 minutes, with patrons watching, about what the server said. After the server confirmed she told us it was $20.50, the manager still was rude AF. We tipped the server well because her manager yelled her name across the restaurant, embarrassing her.The Iowa City Mexico is way better!
