I stopped in with some family from out of town to hang out and watch the game. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was great. Our server, Irina (not sure if im spelling that right), was very friendly and quick with everything we needed. We asked her lots of question about beer and what she recommends and she was able to help us out without skipping a beat. Our food came out fast and hot. If you're looking for a nice place to chill out, drink, and watch the game this is definitely the place. Thank you Irina and blue shark.

Food was good (although the fries had no salt and were tasteless) and delivered quickly on a busy Friday night. Issue was really with the service and bar, our server never once stopped to refill our water glasses, ordered a second round of drinks, waited for 15 minutes server comes and apologizes for the delay (we did not order complicated drinks a mule and a margarita). We tell her to cancel them and bring us our check. Five minutes later, server comes back and asks if we want our check. Finally, after 10 minutes we get our check and she says "I took the drinks off the ticket for you." Overall, just not really impressed with the place and I can find better options in WDM for this type of food.

Arrived around 2 pm for my 45 minute lunch. The place was nearly empty but it was clean and the server was very nice. I ordered the "Blue Shark Burger" and fries. The wait for the food was about 20 minutes. The server kept my drink full and was very polite. My food arrived and I knew immediately it was not what I ordered. They delivered me a club sandwich with fries. I was the only one in there at that moment so I knew I wasn't given someone else's order. But the server didn't catch the mistake. Well I didn't say anything. Because I needed to get back to work and didn't have time for them to remake it. So I ate it. It was good. Just not what I would have ever ordered. I wasn't a fan of the fries. Large thick crinkle cut fries. There were a lot of them but they are just blah. The crispy to potato ratio is just not right. Too potato-ey. I'd order a different side next time. And hopefully get the burger I ordered. I'm not upset. It is what it is. Food was still good. And service and atmosphere was great.

It was a good bar and grill. The food was nice but the sauces were bland I would say. None of the sauces were hot, that is just me saying it. But overall great atmosphere and we will be back there soon.

Every time I come to 165, Paige is outstanding!! I always had her at my table and she is now a bartender which is amazing!! I love her attention to detail- it showed when she was serving and now it shines when she bartends. 165, you have amazing bar food, a great lineup of draft beer, and now you have an amazing bartender. Keep up the good work!!

We ate here yesterday and if I could give it 0 stars I would. Everything from food to service was absolutely horrible. My husband and I ordered burgers, both were so dry and flavorless that we didn't even eat half of it. Our waitress never once stopped to refill drinks or see if there was anything we needed. We waited almost 30 minutes to receive our check and when she returned with our change she brought back the wrong amount. That was after having to go find her to ask for the check. She didn't even apologize for the wait or me having to go get her. Will never return again. Far too many options in West Des Moines to eat at someplace like this.

This is a must go location, have a drink and meal. My search was to find a place in the area that offered good fish for a good price. You have found that place, even though it was all you can eat I was so full after my first plate. I wanted more but simply no room for more. The fish breaded nicely with a little kick to it so be prepared for some spice, but its a good flavor and very tasty. Wasn't a fan of the coleslaw for me it was missing something to be a wow. Asked for a side of honey mustard which went so well with the French fries, but I'm not a normal ketchup dipper. While sitting there my guest and myself watched as food was coming out to other tables, like seriously who does watch the food as its being delivered. The burgers look amazing and when I return will need to be my next try. Hope others enjoy their time and meal when they go.

And they didn't change the menu, they just raised the prices Service is "without" a smile, more like "why are you bothering me...talking to my friends." Just got our "wings".....

Service was fine. The Wings were okay. I was expecting more from the Rave reviews about Wings on Wednesdays. Small and barely any meat during the Wing Wednesdays special. Not planning to go back... Blue Shark I thought would you make this phenomenal.
