I ordered the Maytag burger and the two patties were so burnt. They had no flavor. The bun was so old that it fell completely apart in the fries. A few had good flavor but the rest were just limp noodles. It's too bad but I paid the bill unfold. Gave her a 20% tip and I'll never go back again

My uncle, aunts and I were the first to try the new menu item- the sticky apple cake dessert and let me tell you, DO NOT change the recipe!!! Coming from someone who doesn't like desserts because they are too sweet this one wasn't too sweet and had a perfect balance!! Don't bother tinkering with the recipe because this new menu item will fly off the charts!

I will say that the birria salad could use improvement on the dressing and meat

The birria has a very mild perfume aftertaste which is a little off putting so whatever that spice is either needs a smaller amount or removed

The cilantro dressing is good but it could use a bit more tang to it, maybe more lime or ranch? Idk but I salted the salad and it was good! I'd order it again in the future.

We stopped here while passing through, the place was packed but we got seated right away. Great food, so many amazing choices. Our waitressStephaniewas so nice and gave a great recommendations for the beers and sours. I woulddefinitelycome back if we are in the area. I recommend you check this place out if in the area.

We took lunch on the patio. The shade was enough to fight the sun and the breeze wasn't encumbered by the structure. 80 was comfortable. The beer flights came out fast and the food was ready quickly. Our server Lynn was attentive and checked with us multiple times beyond the intro and food delivery. It was my wife's birthday so we got the beer ice cream. It was very good and refreshing!

Food was delicious. Beers and service were great! There were alot of families there at dinner time. We sat outside and in the evening the building has good shade on the patio. Outside tables have umbrellas.

One of our go to places near the metro! Our daughter is obsessed with the atmosphere and fun decorations. Food has never disappointed! Service has always been top notch. We go every couple weeks and will continue doing so!

Visited for a quick family trip, decided to try this place out! The food was great, staff was friendly and it was super clean! Will definitely be visiting again next time we’re in town!

We had the delightful experience of trying a new restaurant tonight! We like "brew pubs" where we can enjoy a selection of craft beer and unique food/burgers! Husband likes lighter beers, IPAs and sours. I like darker brews, lagers, porters and stouts. Tonight, we ate at Barntown Brewery, so far west in West Des Moines that it is actually in Waukee. The food was DELICIOUS. "Onion Stack" - a huge platter of skinny onion rings - so crispy and delicious. Cheese curds - creamy inside, crispy outside, wonderfully spicy dip. The burgers were thick, meaty and juicy. I'm a "sweet potato fries" snob. I love them, but they have to be crispy - they were PERFECT. We each sampled a flight of four of their beers and both thoroughly enjoyed them all (though we did not like each other's! 🤣) The restaurant was cute, nice atmosphere, our waitstaff was kind, knowledgeable and efficient, the bathrooms were clean with cute beverage "taps" for the faucets. There are really cute "igloos" outside that you can rent. We didn't do that, but looked like fun. Can't recommend highly enough!

overhyped, fries are soggier than five guys and have 0 seasoning (talkin about salt too), nashville flavor was literally just buffalo sauce and honey for $15, even the ketchup tastes off but it seems like they put something in there for an original special ketchup lol

Had high expectations based on reviews. I ordered the roast beef burger with fries. The burger patties were so under seasoned. Fries were limp and soggy. The aus jus was beef water. Everything needed more salt and pepper. There are so many better restaurants in Des Moines. Not worth the money.

Purchased the root beer from Hy-Vee wine and liquor thinking it was going to contain alcohol like not your father's root beer maybe you should make the non alcoholic in capitalize lettering if it's gonna be 9 dollars for a four pack very disappointed.
