Really great gem in Des Moines! Was here travelling for work and had a wonderful meal. The craft cocktail options were great and I enjoyed a very inventive rum drink that I want to go back for. They had a good variety of options and even served a salad or soup with your entree. Great ambiance, server was very attentive, and food was excellent. I'd definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a good spot!

We went to Coopers on 5th for a family dinner for my son's 13th birthday. Food was great. Staff treated him like a king. Reservation process was easy. Can't wait to go back!

The food was amazing, as was the service

One negative and it's not really super bad-we didn't know that it's best to have a reservation. We were on vacation, just passing through town pretty much. Though, we did get immediate seating on the outdoor patio. It was pretty hot that day- they do have it covered and there were fans. As you can tell I didn't die from being hot..lol.

A go-to cozy neighborhood staple that never disappoints. Amazing specialty cocktails, great juicy burgers and best salmon in town.

Reservations needed. All tables and bar full by 5:45! Just did appetizers; chicken nachos..chips were freshly made?? Would order again. Pepperoni egg rolls were ok. Would try a different one. Bottle of cabernet and lemon ice cake was a standout. Our company was even better..family time with #1 nephew and wife. Next time dinner.

Our 1st time at Cooper's. We had a reservation for 4 people. Upon arrival, we were met by the hostess to tell us they were running behind, and we could sit out back for drinks (not a problem) while we waited for a table, although there was an open table of 6. We sat in the back and had no service. We were moved to a table of 4 about 15 minutes after arrival and got our appetizers before our first drink. The food was really good. Our service was not. Took over 20 minutes each time we ordered a drinks, we had drinks in 2 hours. Our server was just not present. Back to the open table of 6, no one was ever sat at that table the whole 2 hours were there.
