Terrific food, very friendly, fun atmosphere
Too many health code violations - During a Nov. 20 visit, a state inspector cited this restaurant for 14 risk-factor violations — an unusually high number. Workers were seen handling raw meat and then moving to work with ready-to-eat tortillas, and handling a trash bin before returning to food preparation, all without washing their hands.
Inside a walk-in cooler, fresh tomatoes were being stored in the same container as raw beef, and multiple food items were stored there uncovered. Also, two pans of queso were holding at 91 to 111 degrees and had to be reheated to 165 degrees. In addition, the inspector reported finding multiple prepared food items in the walk-in cooler that had no production dates to ensure freshness and safety.

Service was outstanding, food and atmosphere are graded on a curve with other Mexican restaurants (which was good). I will say that the ladies (who dined with us) got the fajitas which they commented that they arrived with zero grease/oil. They appreciated that.

The food is ok, but I’m blown away by the high prices. $9 for queso and $5 for 1/3 a bag of chips and salsa which is usually free for a pick-up order at any other establishment.

On the corner of EP True and Mills Civic is a neighborhood Mexican Restaurant full of that down home charm. The portions of each dish is full of a plethora of fresh tasty ingredients. The rice is true Mexican Rice, The Refried Beans are authentically grounded from pinto beans which gives them an exquisite taste. My Texas Fajitas with steak, chicken and shrimp a home run. The chef did an outstanding job in blending the flavors which I rolled into my homemade corn tortillas. Each bite was so intrinsically lip smacking good, that it kept you going back for another bite. The parking is great and prices are super reasonable. The decor is trendy with a blend of Old Mexico softly blaring in the background. Yes we have numerous Mexican Restaurants depending on your taste, but this is one in the neighborhood you should try. You will not be disappointed.
Parking: Easy in and out!

From the first time, until today's visit and all of them in between, this place is our go to for Mexican food. I have never experienced service like this before, not once, not twice, but every time we go here. The service is top notch and the food is quite tasty, too. If it's a good margarita you like on a patio, they have that, too. Give El Toreado a try, you won't be disappointed.

I wish I could give this place more stars. The service was very prompt and polite! We also had the honor of a song from a mariachi band!
Ordered online at 1530 for 1730 pick up. Order was ready and sitting on the table. I was so excited to get home and dig in to the good food! The food was room temperature burrito, chimichanga and cheese sauce. It was like it was made at 1530 and sat there for two hours! Very disappointed because this was my wife's favorite Mexican restaurant! With prices the way they are I don't give restaurants second chances. Sad.

Overall not great, for what it is it’s over priced. My food was supposed to be served with guacamole and there was none and there was supposed to be pico de gallo but it was just chopped tomato with nothing else. One of the friends I was with ordered a vegetarian meal (off the vegetarian portion of the menu) and was served a meal with beef in it. The margarita was good but definitely not worth a trip back
