Great food and loved the cozy Northwoods atmosphere! I had Fish and Chips, the batter was not thick or greasy. Husband and son had something from the brunch menu and both cleaned their plates. I really recommend it.
Anniversary dinner tonight at Guesthouse and it was perfect. We had the lobster roll and the featured pasta. Both were delicious! We will be back soon.
Our first time here and certainly won’t be the last. The atmosphere is perfect. Upscale menu with an approachable feel. Decor matches the menu perfectly. Danielle, the GM, gave us the perfect welcome. I wish I remembered our server’s name, as she was delightful and incredibly helpful. The Wisconsin old fashioned was recommended to us — and for good reason. They also had a few Athletic n/a beers, which is always appreciated. We started with the cheese curds and a half dozen charbroiled oysters. Wow, both were incredible. My husband had the pork shank with au gratin mushrooms per our server’s recommendation. Both were great, but he couldn’t get over how perfectly prepared the pork was. I was between a few choices and settled on the lobster roll. It was warm and buttery — truly melt in your mouth perfection. The salt and vinegar fries were a great side, though I was too full to put a dent in them. Our server showed us the dessert menu, and boy, I wish we had room. The pull tabs were such a fun addition to the experience. We can’t wait to return.
We loved Guesthouse Tavern + Oyster! We started with the chargrilled oysters, which were such a treat! I ordered the pork shank with butternut squash purée, which was amazing! Truly fall off the bone tender! My husband ordered the walleye fish and chips, which was also delicious! The ambience is warm and cozy. My only complaint is that I’d heard there was a fireplace which I was very excited about because there are very few restaurants in the metro area that have fireplaces but was so disappointed to see that their “fireplace” was a YouTube video of a fireplace. ☹️. Definitely not the same thing. There is a beautiful stone wall/ mantle where a gas burning fireplace could go and would greatly add to the north woods ambience they are striving for. Other than this, I would highly recommend Guesthouse Tavern +Oyster.
We had Wisconsin old fashion's, chicken fried oyster mushrooms, beef stroganoff, the pasta special, tiramisu and key lime pie. It was all delicious.

They had an excellent selection of oysters and our server was very knowledgeable. All of the food was great and we’re looking forward to going back to try more of the menu!

Was surprised at the lack of NA adult beverages. Only one beer and no mocktails.
Food was good but nothing we'd order again. Didn't really match up to pictures on website. Not a fan of water crackers.
I knew ahead about the service fee so I paid in cash only to find out I was still charged fee. Just a bad way to end a dinner service.

Charge 3% for paying by card. Server Uvia was incredibly responsive. Food was fantastic. Very poor choice by management to try to slide that 3% fee in. Will not return as a result.

First time here, and it was a smash hit. Very nice hostess, delicious food- gravy on the poutine was killer, and the cocktails were clearly well made. Above all though- we had the best server, Maddy, who made excellent recommendations, made sure the martini was made to perfection, and that the birthday dinner was a great one. She sold the experience, we'll definitely be returning!!

I had Walleye and wild rice. The best walleye I've ever had that I didn't catch myself. I like the barn town beer and You can even order half a glass for tasting or not to be wasteful.
but I had Ham's on tap in honor of the land of sky blue waters this time. Except it's supposed to be a Wisconsin vibe....So maybe they should get Potosi on tap. A lively lovely cozy atmosphere with a great wait staff who did well even when it was totally packed.
