Was looking for a place that had good Sichuan food in Des Moines. I also love supporting smaller businesses like this one. The food was great! It wasn’t traditional Sichuan peppercorn meals, but very good American-Chinese food. Vegetables and shrimp were super fresh and delicious. Cucumber salad was warm, which was unique. Went to Heavenly Asian Cuisine & Lounge last night and the food was amazing! We got the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer, I got sesame chicken with steamed white rice, my boyfriend got the combination noodle bowl. All of it was great and the server was very friendly. Highly recommend!!

My only complaints are the fried rice wasn’t actually fried (it was plain steamed white rice with veggies and egg) and the sauce on my dish was a little too sweet. But overall, everything was tasty and a good value, especially if you’re feeling like Chinese food but don’t feel like something heavy or greasy.
