Hyper Energy Bar West Des Moines

I’ve been a loyal customer of Hyper for a long time and consistently tip well because I’ve always appreciated the service—until today. When I pulled up to the drive-thru, the barista abruptly slammed open the window and, without any greeting, told me I needed to slow down in the road outside of the property. I was going 10 mph, which is entirely reasonable—my car is just loud.

She then stood there staring at me in silence, clearly waiting for a reaction, which I chose not to give. After an uncomfortable pause, she finally asked what I wanted to order. The interaction was cold, unprofessional, and completely out of line. Being a server myself I can’t even fathom giving this type of service.

This is the first time I’ve ever left without leaving a tip. I truly hope this employee is coached on how to speak to customers respectfully. I love Hyper, but this experience was unacceptable.

I was first introduced to energy drink bars when I worked in the Quad Cities. I've passed by these Hyper Bars here and there but have never stopped. Well, today was the day and it didn't disappoint! If you want some bubbly energy at a decent price, I'd recommend these drive-thrus.

Hyper is one of my favorite treats to grab when I need a pick-me-up! I wish they didn’t use a rockstar base but if you are looking for a sweet drink with caffeine, this is my go-to! I got the Aftershock! It’s delicious.

West Des Moines location has the most amazing customer service-there is a reason they are so busy! They are fabulous! We come here every day for great drinks and the best service!

Stopped by WDM this morning. The line was 10+ cars deep. The girls working handled it so WELL!! So quick and efficient. I got the Bomb Pop. it came out so cute!

The WDM location is my favorite hyper to go to. No matter how busy they are they get the customers in and out and always are super friendly while doing it.

I've been to the Iowa City location several times since it opened. The staff members work hard and are always friendly. They're super fast at getting drinks out, and everything is always delicious. My go-to drinks are the Rip 6 (latte with 6 shots of espresso) and the Electric Wave energy drink (blue raspberry and white chocolate).

Go to the WDM location! Hyper is great anywhere but the employees at the WDM location treat you with extra special care! Each one of the employees there treat us with smiles and friendly quick service consistently. We’ve never had anything but fabulous service there! Anna Addie Tessa Megan Hayden Gina-we could go on and on about each one and every one of them! They make our day!

There's a reason these are popping up everywhere and it's cause they are the best. Very good energy drinks and coffee. Service is always good. So many different options/ combinations for the energy drinks selection and some of the better coffee out there as well.

Sammy is THEE BEST!!! Everyone there is great. Awesome customer service!!! There aren't enough stars for Sammy!! Always has the best attitude at 6:30 in the morning everyday!!!
