My server confronted me at my car about his tip!! I’ve been restaurant business my entire career and I’ve never seen anything like this. Majorly inappropriate and wildly unprofessional !! His name was Tim.

The meal its self was delicious.
However,
Our server wasn’t so great. He came over really quickly when we first sat down but my husband and I had never been there before. We didn’t know what was on the menu or what drinks they had so we asked for waters. When the server came back with the water I asked what kind of sodas they had and when I told him which ones we wanted he huffed pretty loud. I made a comment to my husband about our server having a bit of an attitude (in ear shot of our server) and he sorta fixed it for the rest of the dinner but I didn’t tip very much because of it. After the meal he followed us to our car and confronted us about the tip! He asked “Is there a problem” aggressively and I said not really to avoid any other confrontation but it was very uncomfortable!!!

Great staff everyone looked and acted like they enjoy there job there. Food was amazing just melted in your mouth. Portion size huge. Will be recommending to everyone I know. Got the Boss Hog and husband got the stockyard special

Have to say this was MID.....not the jethros on drake I remember with fresh smoked meats. Meat has that taste it was smoked somewhere else and reheated.

I called to make a large to go order for my work meeting and the gal that took my order was so efficient, kind, and personable. I really wish I could remember her name because she deserves credit. I hope she has a chance to read this!The food was great. Easy check out over the phone. All of my colleagues throughly enjoyed their meal. Wonderful experience. Thank you!

The new server was pleasant and efficient. (So was the other one!) Wings were great. Carolina and Georgia Gold were as good as any I have had in the South.

Jethro’s was my first stop for dinner on my trip back to Des Moines this week. I’ve been coming here since my days at Drake University, and although I’m incredibly sad they closed their location next to Drake’s campus, I was happy to see their other locations are still doing things well.

My biggest recommendation here will always be the Boneless wings. They’re not a traditional boneless wing, but instead are cut into strips and crisped to perfection. Their sauces are all incredible but personally I think Garlic Parmesan and Buffalo are the two best flavors. If you get their bone in wings I think BBQ Rub is your best bet.

They have other traditional BBQ items that are solid, and you can’t go wrong with any of their sides. Jethro’s is definitely a must stop if you’re in the Des Moines area!

The TV wasn't working in our area so I couldn't see the game. There needs to be more than one waitresswhen you have a big table full of people

We had a family dinner with my family of four, which includes two kids (1 and 4), my parents and sister. The food was great and the waitress was friendly and helpful. Even though the 1 year old made a big mess... Parents, you get it.

Kid-friendliness: All parents know how it is to take young children to resturants. Even though our 1yr old made a mess, (We picked up what we could.) the waitress was very nice and understanding, saying that kids make messes and not to worry.

My boyfriend and I just stopped for dinner and were so happy with our food and the service! Food came out super fast and it was SO delicious. Didn’t catch the servers name but he was lovely. We also loved the music. ?

Staff is always so welcoming. Our waiter (I wish I got his name) was phenomenal and the food was great.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of great food options for kids! My son has many food aversions and I usually worry at other places about if there will be a safe option for him but Jethros has so many kids options!
