“If you haven’t been to KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot in West Des Moines yet, what are you even doing?! This place is an absolute foodie paradise where you can grill up your own Korean BBQ AND dive into a bubbling hot pot, all in one spot! And of course we did both. 👨🍳 Service? Top-notch. The staff is friendly, fast, and always ready to refill your plates and recommend the best sauce combos. Our server Sarah B was phenomenal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 would recommend—just make sure you come hungry!“

“Had a very disappointing experience at DZO Korean BBQ yesterday. There were 5 of us (3 adults, 2 kids), was charged an 18% gratuity on our bill of over $200+. Upon checking online reviews later, it appears this charge only meant for parties of 6 or more. This policy was never disclose to us by the staff and we weren't even given a copy of the receipt (thank to my daughter for taking a video of me holding the receipt was able to see charges). To make matters worse, my daughter also left an additional tip, unaware of the hidden charge. Their website also fails to mention this 18% gratuity. I feel this lack of transparency regarding the gratuity and incredibly misleading like they are taking advantage of their customers. Diners should be very cautious and double-check for unexpected charges.“

“The food is amazing, especially the Lo Mein! It is very authentic and delicious. The staff are so kind, welcoming, and give you a speedy service, especially Haven. She always has a huge smile and makes you feel so welcomed. They really make you feel like family and give you the most delicious food ever!
Dietary restrictions: They have plenty of vegetarian options. I would recommend the vegetable fried rice or vegetable lo mein.“

“As someone who was raised in Korea, the food at What Dak is authentic. The chicken is double-fried crispy with classic Korean sauce flavors. The additional sides (radish, kimchi, etc.) are just as authentic as the rest of the menu and serves as a great companion to the chicken. HIGHLY recommend.“
