McAlister's Deli

This place is incredibly well run! Excellent customer service and welcoming attitudes. Orders came out correct and the employees were quick and on top of things. No name tags, so I can’t call out the two that specifically stood out but they are doing a wonderful job here!

There is a particular employee i would like to point out. I don't know his name but he was at the register taking orders. He is the most polite, happy, welcoming, hard worker that i have really ever seen. He seems to really enjoy life and his job. It makes me want to do better. Thanks for making my lunch time special.

Was here about 730pm on 8/29. The staff are always amazing but tonight someone stood out. I didn’t catch his name but had longer dark hair. His customer service was top notch. He was refilling drinks, told one table that If he wasn’t back to check on them before they left to just leave everything. He would take care of it. He was consistently rounding in the dining area checking on guests. First time I have experienced that!

All of the staff tonight were pleasant and friendly but this gentlemen deserves recognition!

After being impressed with McAlister's Deli on a visit to Indianapolis, this was our first time visiting this place in West Des Moines. We stopped midafternoon and were greeted by a friendly staff member. She was helpful in navigating the menu to make our final choices of sandwiches.
It was a nice quiet meal and all 3 in our group were satisfied with our choices from the menu. The service was quick and the food hit the spot.

Had my food delivery one of the sandwich was burnt, and wrap had no meat nothing but hard lettuce. Not again. Waste of my money. Then call you keep getting hung up and playing on the phone. Never again

First timer. The gal at the register could have cared less but I don’t blame her. It’s a crazy world. It was our first time so it would have been helpful to explain things a little more. She expected me to know to pick out a bag of chips, but I didn’t. I was also having vision issues that moment so maybe it was clearly listed somewhere? I’m not sure. It’s only a single restroom - 1 per gender. There was a line waiting multiple times when we were there for a later lunch. The space seemed nice. Just felt a little lost when we walked in not knowing what to do.

Just stopped to get a drink, we were out of town and thirsty from shopping.

Reliable lunch! Party had soup, salad, and a sandwich between us. All categories were correctly prepared, served promptly at the correct temperature, and were tasty enough. French dip was probably the only reason for 4 stars. It was fine but we've had better.

Every sandwich i have gotten was excellent. I got the French dip and it was just so so. Not much flavor in the roast beef. Everything else was fantastic
