Always delicious! Getting pretty pricey. Used to be able to feed a family of four for around $40. Now, it's around $70.

I’ve gone to this specific location since I was 6 years old, 22 years later I find myself considering going to a different restaurant. I’ll still say the food is amazing but the portions have gone down majorly. I used to love the burrito California but now it needs to be renamed burrito chiquito. The ends of the tortillas used to not even be able to fold easily and cover the plate and now it’s just an average steak burrito and I’d say compared to anywhere else a small burrito at that. Love the food just miss not having to order 2 entrees for dinner.

Our favorite Mexican Restaurant! We have gone here at least once a week for the past few years. The service and food are both amazing!

This used to be a favorite Mexican restaurant around Des Moines for me. Went again this week and prices have gone up substantially. They have removed all the great combos which included 3-4 items.
Now you can get two for the same price.
Chips were burnt and even the salsa was not as good. After 25 years as A customer I am done.
There are better less expensive options available.
$45 for two very average meals.

Good food not very accessible for handicap. Refried beans were not good.

Wheelchair accessibility: Floor very slippery tables are close together hard to get around

Food was not very good. Fried ice cream had rasian brand on top it was awful. Our waiter was rude. Prices may be very reasonable. However, everything else was far below standard.

Monterrey is usually a good bet for generic Mexican food. I like their fajitas and the nachos with queso.

We used to get their loaded nachos a lot, but I haven't had them in some time, so I'm not sure if they're still as good as they used to be.

I have noticed the last few times that the fajitas seem to come with less meat than they used to, which is why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 for the food.

The atmosphere could be better; the inside seems a bit dingy, though this is often true in many of the local Mexican restaurants. Tables are clean enough, it's just a general appearance issue.

Expensive for the portion size and got a rude condescending answer from the manager when I asked him a question about a charge in our bill.. My taco salad was horrible, very salty and when I said something to the waiter he acted like he didn’t understand me 😂😂 Then they messed up one of our meals and when they brought the right thing they still charged us for the mess up ( that’s what I asked the manager about) and it was never taken off the bill 😡😡😡😡😡. Won’t be going back there!!
