There were so many good options from both the Breakfast and Lunch Menus that it was hard to choose! I ended up going with the Grown Up Grilled Cheese and I was so surprised at how filling and subtly sweet it was! The Waiters were very kind as well and the atmosphere is so calming.

Good food! But they have lost that personal guest feeling. Servers have taken over the last booth into the kitchen. The owner or manager just stands there and talks to the waitresses. No big hellos or goodbyes. Eat, sit, and leave. We've got your $$$$!!! Just not what it used to be!

I hate to be this kind of customer, but I feel like management needs to know this.
I ordered the breakfast platter. As of 06-21-24 this item costs $14.99.
The sausage tasted like it was frozen and then microwaved. The eggs were fine but they tasted like cafeteria food. The hashbrowns had the consistency of mashed potatoes and tasted strongly of soap. The biscuit was fine.
I normally am not the type of person to make these kinds of reviews. Being charged 14.99 is outrageous for this kind of slop.
Service was kind and warm and attentive.

Dont appreciate having auto tip come on the bill. Don't think it fair for customer's or your worker. Food was good service was good.

I think it is quite expensive for what you get. I had ham with my 1,1 1 and am pretty sure it was Spam, very tough and salty. My husband,'s food was done very well.

Can not call in orders on the phone very difficult to place to go order online don’t work

After spending a weekend in Des Moines, we were looking for a place to have breakfast on our way home and found Perkup Cafe on Yelp. It was close to where we were, and it turned out to be a great choice.

The cafe is clean, and the staff was friendly. I ordered the 2/2/2, which included two eggs, two meats, and a choice of two pieces of toast or a pancake. I chose bacon and a pancake with my eggs, along with a glass of OJ. My wife went for her favorite: French toast and bacon.

The meal came out quickly and was cooked perfectly, with the bacon nice and crispy, just the way we like it. The only minor issue was that the OJ could have been colder or served with some ice.

Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant experience at Perkup Cafe. It's a great spot for breakfast, and we would definitely return.

My son and I love to eat here. The service is amazing and everybody is welcoming and friendly. The biscuits and gravy are so fresh and fluffy. I love the hash brown tacos, it’s a must-have every time we visit. 10/10 would recommend.
