Shotgun Betty's

We were stuck in Des Moines for the weekend and looking for something to do! So we had dinner down the parking lot from Shotgun Betty’s. Then we met a couple who were heading there. Well, we followed along. And had one of the best nights we’ve had in a long time. The people were great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was better than I would have expected. Truck driver from Texas so I know country bars. We had a blast and will be back if and when in the area. Also, my wife lost a bracelet so I reached out to see if it was found. They looked for it, found it and even shipped it Home. Thank y’all so much for showing me there are good people all over the country.

Our bartender was super nice & attentive. They were starting to teach line dancing, which looked fun. First time there & would definitely go back. Check it out!

My favorite bar of all time. Would like it a lot better if ALL of the bartenders did their job and served you when you come up to the bar, especially when it’s slow.

Honestly I would maybe give them another shot, but after tonight watching one of your bartenders (that was off the clock, but did serve him when clocked in) tell the security to have a guy leave and to stop serving him and NOTHING was done! Then he starts making a seen and yelling at others. I’m writing this review at 10:30 at night after we left!
I get that it’s a bar, people drink but there clearly needs to be a cut off! What happens if this guy gets into a wreck on his way home and kills someone?

They have gone down hill after so many employees have left. Plus they can’t even mop up after a toilet overflows on the floor. What the heck is wrong with with the employees these days.

Your security is stupid and looking for a fight. Just because someone is muscular and built doesn't mean he will cause trouble.

I highly recommend her she is very very professional at her job I was there the other day and had a wonderful experience There is not another person I would ever let do my other than her !The outcome of my hair turned out wonderfulShe’s also very very caring I felt so comfortable with being around her ..She’s so funny and she made me laugh ..She is beautiful inside and outShe has a heart of gold …It’s not only about your hair she’s also very caring …Being around her was the most fun I have had in years !!! She is a queen I highly recommend her!!!!!I love this women she is absolutely amazing she offered me for food drinks and made me feel so comfortable being there… I appreciate her -VERY MUCH ❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They steal your money. I have two five dollar charges that I never made. Find anywhere else to spend your money. Also the live music sucks.

I wanted to love this place. But unfortunately, the bartender isn’t that great and if you open a tab, make sure to check your bank a few days/weeks later. They like to take money that doesn’t belong to them. This was my second time having $40+ charges on my card that weren’t mine with no refund. Use cash or just find a better place, all the reviews below me are very accurate.

There's country vibes, dancing, and lots of fun to be had late into the night.- The bar has a lively atmosphere. It's usually packed and you'll have to speak up to talk to other folks due to all the people and loud music.- The usual crowd is mostly 20s-late 30s.- Drinks are fairly priced, but a bit more expensive than a dive bar.Cons:I wouldn't recommend going here on New Year's. The bar was over capacity, and we were packed in tighter than sardines. It took 30 minutes to move across the bar and get a drink.
