I remember when Smashburger first opened. I couldn’t stop going and always ate inside. Not much has changed when it comes to the food but I have noticed that the environment to dine in has changed. I mentioned there being outdated photos with the old menu and the cashier got defensive for whatever reason. Anyway, here’s the updated menu for those that plan ahead like myself.

The food was excellent, and the restaurant itself was clean and well laid out. The loss of a star was because of the cost. $18 for a hamburger and fries seems excessive, but other than the cost, I was happy with my visit.

You’re charging over $20 for bacon cheeseburger meal and then wanna tip. Prices and wanting tips all the time they’re getting ridiculous. You didn’t even do anything, deserve a tip at the beginning of the order

I saw an ad so I went for lunch today. WORST HAMBURGER JOINT EXPERIENCE IN YEARS! Today I ordered a meal and since I hadnt been there in awhile I decided to ask questions about their new items. BIG MISTAKE! she was very rude. For no reason! I had they day off and just washed my truck so I was In a wonderful mood before I arrived at Smash Burger West Des Moines location. It was lunch time and the place was empty so lunch rush definitely wasnt this employees problem. I asked a few general questions. She was agitated with the ask of every question. After uncomfortably ordering I recieved my meal to go. As I was leaving I tried my fries and noticed the were wrong. They messed up My fries they were not smash fries which I had ordered. So I went and politely pointed out the mistake. She told me I did not order smash fries. Ummm yes I definitely did. They smash fries are what make the place and I literally have eidetic memory lol. She just starred me down and would not give me a smash fry. When I definitely asked for smash fries. So rude its crazy. Well I get home after leaving as I dont make a scene. I just wont give a company any more of my business. GUESS WHAT! MY BURGER WAS WRONG TOO!! I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. SERIOUSLY EXTREMELY RUDE FOR NO REASON. I was in such a good mood and being soo polite but wow the way they act is as if they dont want your business.
