Not the same Smashburger as from years past. The hamburger was good but the smash sauce was more like mayonnaise than smashed sauce. No taste no flavor. The onion rings are a disappointment. Not returning.
As burger places go, it wasn't the worst or the best. The food was decent.

Food was sub-par. Should have read other reviews about bacon avacdo burger, not good. And lady clearly did not want to be there, I even thought a tip would put a smile on her face, no such luck. Definitely not worth the premium price. Also, Sprite was not good.

The burgers were delicious, but smaller than I remember and our fries were soggy. It was $38 for two people. I think we're done going there.
The best time of day to get food is dayshift. The food is always freshest & tastiest in the early hours. By the end of the day The food has the charred flavor from the grill a little too much. Food is oily but we like it that way, you can't get this type of food many places anymore, super greasy, super yummy. Good hangover food. My favorite is the Brussel Sprouts with the Truffle Mushroom Burger. Nom nom nomParking: Parking right out front, handicap spots available but not sure about access ramp details.Kid-friendliness: Decent place to take kids if you're ok with them getting messy & having a nice greasy meal. There are kids' meals options, as well.
You don't make it easy to do business with you. You advertised a special on the burgers on the app but when the order was completed there was no special. Oh, I realized there's a code in an email sent to me, but while the app encouraged me to select the $6 burger option, you're left to your own devices to discover these are not connected. I realize this issue only cost us approx. $6 - $7 more than it should of, but I'd just like to have one dining experience where I don't shake my head when I leave.
I ordered the Double with avocado & bacon.The bacon was raw in spots. I presented to the girl on duty with black hair and glasses. She directly through what I showed her in the garbage. She didn’t say sorry and acted like I was putting her out.This was my welcome to Iowa experience.The floor drains in the store need to be cleaned with bleach

We were visiting from out of town and stopped here late one night before heading to the hotel. My husband went in and asked if he could split the check and they said no. He paid and took food and left. We got to hotel which was a short drive and realized we were never given the drink with our kids meal. The fries were also ice cold, and no, it wasn’t long after picking up the food. I emailed and got an email back from the owner, not even an apology for our inconveniences, not a word about the missing drink, and simply said the worker didn’t know you could split a check. We will never visit another smash burger again.

Staff not willing to accommodate, and the food was mediocre. Food is insanely overpriced for what it is. Go across the street to Culver’s for a much better burger, for less.
