People saying this location isn’t good but that’s not true. People are just weird and miserable and expect a lot from a fast food joint. A lot of ppl say the shakes are bad. Not true. Shakes are just fine. Ppl are just weird and miserable LOL

The two girls working tonight where just like high school bullies. My sister in law ordered a orange dream shake they gave us banana I asked to get it remade politely they rolled their eyes at me remade it and gave me yet again banana what if she was allergic? Then I tried to brush it off but I noticed i had ordered a bacon burger with pickles and didnt give me bacon or pickles and they giggled and whispered to each other about it infront of me. I've works fast food before so I try to have understanding when it comes to the employees but these girls are just straight up from an episode of mean girls.

The food is terrible compared to Kansas City and I have been overcharged many times but luckily I pay in cash so I caught it. They have Iowa hours meaning they close much earlier than other locations. Measure this place for a new Mexican restaurant

The wife and I drive about 30 miles to have Steak ‘n Shake. We haven’t had it in years. Decided we had nothing better to do. Was excited. But we couldn’t come in and sit down, we had to keep moving. Made it about 15 miles back home decided to eat on the move. Opened burger. Instantly disappointed. The bread was stacked on each other, one slice of cheese and 2 severely dried patties and no sauce anywhere. Hopefully one day we can try again and not be disappointed. The food is on I-80 eastbound. Should have taken a picture but I was angry. The bottle of was was room temp also. Do better. All those employees working and no quality control. No cares given. I should have steered clear seeing the 3.5 star rating. The place wasn’t even busy. I guess I’ll have to drive to Iowa city to get better service.

Burgers was decent. Very disappointed by shake. You would expect a good shake from a place with 'shake' in the name. Fries weren't great, either. Onion rings were on point though. Price was okay, given today's insane market. Certainly not a deal.

Shakes were horrible! Taste and texture for both the chocolate and the cookie dough were very off. Chocolate didn’t taste like chocolate and the texture of the cookie dough was almost like the machine hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.

First time trying steak 'n shake and I was not disappointed! Young lady at the window was very nice despite being in what looked to be a rush, great service, good food. Recommend.

I had a great experience at Steak ‘n Shake today! I loved being able to walk in and order easily from a self-order kiosk. The interface was straightforward, and I appreciated having full control over customizing my meal.
I did notice the kiosk requested a tip, but since I placed and managed my order myself, I didn’t feel the need to add one. Tip culture in the U.S. is getting a little out of hand, and I really value when restaurants make self-service a true option without pressure.
I follow an epi-paleo diet, which means I don’t eat gluten. I was able to order a triple burger without the bun and add two extra patties, and it made a satisfying meal that fit my dietary choices perfectly. It can be difficult for me to find something I can eat when dining out, so this was a big win.
My kids don’t eat epi-paleo and they enjoyed their standard American diet choices—everyone left happy, which is rare at a fast casual spot!
Overall, everything was great. I’ll definitely be back because I’ve finally found a meal I can enjoy when I’m out and about. Steak ‘n Shake made that possible, and I really appreciate it.
