Place was packed. Had the atmosphere of your favorite neighborhood establishment. The waitress recommended we join a table with another gentleman, who turned out to be a regular patron, and we had a very pleasant visit w/him. Ordered the Bubba Burger and it was excellent; especially liked the flavor of the "Sully" sauce. If we are ever in the Des Moines area again, Sully's will definitely be on our must stop list.

Best Rueben sandwich around, servedwarm with plenty of corn beef, cheese, and kruat on marble rye with chips on the side. Can't forget to mention their cold beer. Waitress was friendly, delivered our food to us hot, and rechecked with us to see if we needed anything further. Great place to meet your friends over a beer.

Fun Irish bar. Environment was friendly and upbeat, server was very friendly. I loved the wings I got, they were cooked perfectly. That said, I wish there were a few more Irish themed menu items! Overall, fun, loud (in a good way), and great for a casual drink.

All of our food was burnt/charred. Reuben was super burnt. Sent it back and the waitress said she had debated on whether she should have brought it out because it smelled and looked burnt. Ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich. Came with no buffalo sauce and charred bun. Soggy cheese curds. Even with all of the issues - no discounts on the food. We are not people who send food back or complain but it was not edible.

I finally stopped here after years of wanting to! I've heard so many great things about this little Irish Pub, and they were exactly correct! I had not had fried food in quite some time and decided to have cheese curds and a deep fried burger! You read that right, a deep fried beef patty. Where has this been my entire life?! Wow, you've got to try this Bubba Burger for yourself when you stop by. The toppings for the burger were all fresh and crisp. Also, the cheese curds have the best breading you could ask for. It's not the cornmeal breading, but a light flakey and crunchy breading that is perfect for your taste buds! The wings here are also just as good! I'd compare them to the ones you can get at "Gerri's Bar" across form the fair grounds. Definitely worth it when you want some buffalo sauce and blue cheese! The building looks much bigger from the outside, but once you're inside, there is less room than you'd think. There is a large bar that does take up most of the room inside, along with a good amount of high-top tables for patrons. There are plenty of televisions mounted on nearly every wall, playing golf, basketball, football, trivia... you name it! Just ask the bartender for a specific game and she can change the channel for you. When the weather is nice and if inside is too crowded, Sully's has you covered; literally, with their patio! They've got outdoor seating for those that want to enjoy the weather while they enjoy some food and drinks. One plus that I didn't realize is that they allow dogs on the patio! This is a huge plus for our family because I would absolutely bring our dogs during nice weather! Next time I'm craving something deep fried or have a hankering for Sully's I will make sure it's not years before I stop back!

My wife and I stopped here for a quick bite during a date night. It was our first time here, but it will certainly not be the last time! The food was very good, and our waitress was phenomenal. And, being an Irish whisky lover, I can't complain about their selection! (I enjoyed a glass of Tullamore D.E.W. 12 and Green Spot.) I had the Sully Burger, and she had the hot dog. She said her hot dog, smothered with toppings, was hands down the best dog she'd ever had. My burger was also very good, with my only nit to be picked was the burger being slightly over-cooked. Otherwise - what a fantastic meal, finished off with an order of fried Oreos. Fries always seem to be a subjective thing, where some like them soft, some like them crunchy, salty vs. seasoned, etc... to us, the fries were perfect. A little bit of crunch and seasoned nicely. It wasn't overly busy, as it was a Sunday night. The Chiefs were playing their AFC Championship game, and there were quite a few Chiefs fans in the place. But it was still just a nice, cozy evening, and we really enjoyed our visit. We're unfortunately an hour away, but we see ourselves making a few trips down there anyway over the next year!

Used to be a place I would go to back in the late 80s. They are in a different building, but much the same scene. Good beer and good food. Had a couple Guinness and a Bubba burger with homemade chips. Burger was messy but delicious.

We went to watch a football play off game and have dinner. Food was good, we were shocked at the extra up charges on our bill. If I'm charged $4 extra for a salad, then when I ask for a sandwich without a bun shouldn't I get a break on my bill for that!!! There is also an up charge for fries on a $14 sandwich and an extra charge for a pint size drink in which more water was added to a one shot drink. A seventy five dollar bill for 2 people is unbelievable at a sports bar!!! We won't be back for food again.Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten allergy. The waitress was very kind and did explain that the fries have wheat flour on them. Overall Sully's isn't a very gluten friendly restaurant.

We waited for close to an hour for our food. An hour!! The bar was not busy at all. Never even got our appetizer. We brought out of town guests and will never return after this service.

Fantastic place for dinner out, meeting friends, or stopping for a snack. Good selection of food and drinks. The fried pickles were spears, not slices, and they included the bits! Arguably the best patty melt I have had. The chips are homemade and pretty good. Not loud at all. The staff was great and checked in regularly. Very nice people.Wheelchair accessibility: Doors have a less than one inch bump and are nice and wide. The tables are a mix of regular and tall and spaced enough to maneuver with little trouble.
