Don’t get the steak! Holy smokes I do not know if it’s the mushroom sauce of the steak but it’s like pouring a jar of salt in your mouth! It was freaking horrible! My daughter’s birthday so I didn’t raise a stink. But I can guarantee you I will not return!

Adequate free parking. Convenient to running errands anywhere in West Des Moines. Excellent service. Reasonable price. Food was prettier and better than some other Texas Roadhouses - and the steak was as good as any $$$ restaurant. I'll be back. And they support their Veterans!!

TR is always busy and usually fast and friendly. This time service was slow and our server wasn't very personable. We had a hard time talking at our table because there were a lot of birthday songs (lots of servers participated in each and they were really loud).Kid-friendliness: Kids can be loud and messy here, they'll blend in. We have picky eaters and they like the food.
This location was not what we are used to in Texas at all,doesn't even compare! The food was cold and my chicken fried chicken was way over cooked,dry and cold. Very dissatisfied with the food. Although the service was great the food did not live up to the true TX reputation.

Waitress was awesome! But when it came to our food that’s a different story! Wife’s chicken was still raw in the middle! Friend of ours and I ordered prime rib medium rare and they both came out almost raw! Took all of our meats back and made my wife’s chicken again and it came out good! But our prime ribs came out looking and tasting like they was just plopped in a microwave!!!
