The best chicken I’ve ever had.We ordered the southwest egg rolls at the recommendation of our waitress and so happy we did. Just based off that we knew this was going to be a good meal.I ordered the bang bang chicken tacos which ended up being the perfect portion size - just enough! My boyfriend ordered the Nashville hot chicken dinner and really enjoyed it. We both agreed that the egg rolls and chicken had the perfect amount of crunch and juiciness without being messy or overly cooked. The bang bang sauce was perfectly sweet and spicy!I also got a raspberry mule and huckleberry mule - HIGHLY recommend especially for anyone who knows huckleberry. Very very good mules!Great draft selection of local brews. Juicy chicken. Great small town vibe. Quick service. We absolutely 100% without a doubt will be back!Parking: Mostly gravel lot with a great patio. A few handicap spots on concrete

Wasn't impressed at all with the quality of the food. Who has ever had a hot sausage sandwich that was made with a pattie? The waitress was very good and received a tip from all six of us who stopped here for our lunch break .
Ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and asked for extra sauce on the side. They gave me sauce on the side, and nothing extra. Chicken is good, smaller than I'm used to for Nashville Hot. Fries were stale and inedible. I guess I will continue my search for good Nashville Hot Chicken in Des Moines.

The broasted chicken was juicy and the breading was well seasoned, but the mashed potatoes were a tad bland. If that's the only complaint for the whole meal, you can't go wrong eating at The Chicken.

Awesome food, awesome staff, and great location. The first time I came here I thought why is this restaurant out in the middle of nowhere? Now it’s becoming more developed around the area and it fits that gap for an area that is somewhat out the way. It’s the perfect place to stop on my way home after work. I like to stop for a beer or two while I wait for my take home Pizzas. Trust me if you like Fong’s pizza, you will really like this menu!

I've heard about this joint for years and finally made time to try The Chicken. The "Iowa Hot" chicken tenders were fantastic. I wanted to try so many more items because chicken is my favorite lunch. Can't wait to get back to Orilla and try some other items from the menu!
