The food was OK but not great. It seems as though there was only one server at 5p.m. I would return and consider changing my rating.Parking: Not good.

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at! The Chile relleno dinner is my go to every single time! Tacos Al pastor are delicious too. Worth the drive from Davenport for sure

The food is super yummy, and the staff are delightful. They can accommodate large groups, which is a plus for my big family.

The absolute Best Mexican food in Iowa, "Authentic" as it gets. Not tex/mex.

El Patio is a nice small town Tex-Mex restaurant, one of several in a town with a large Hispanic population. Good food. Friendly service. And pretty impressive individually painted tables and chairs with scenes evocative of Mexico. Staff is limited, so service can sometimes be a little slow, and occasionally one or more menu items might not be available. But you'll always get a tasty meal at a very reasonable price. Ironically, El Patio does not have a patio: indoor service only.Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian combo meals and a variety of vegetarian entrees.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on one level, but the restroom facilities are not handicap accessible.

Located just off Main Street in downtown West liberty El Patio offers free parking and easy access. We were able to call ahead and reserve a table because we had a large group and we are pleasantly greeted and seated. Restaurant is clean and festive. There seemed to be a challenge with service the night we were there, and looks like they may have been shorthanded. Their salsa is excellent and chips were pretty standard. The menu we were offered different from what was showing online, but most of the standards were the same and we had no problem getting what we wanted. Food was standard Mexican fare without anything exceptionally memorable. This location offers beer and margaritas, which were perhaps just a little too sweet and very little alcohol. We struggled to get water, despite ordering several times, and went dry with our tasty and fiery salsa! I noticed that a majority of the positive reviews are dated a few years back and wonder what has changed. I am always trying to be optimistic and might try this location again if there were no other options but probably would not go out of my way to come back here again.

Went there for dinner on a slow Thursday night. Wait staff wasn't paying attention. My food (Carne Asada) was fair, meat was dry, nothing special. The place was dirty, the bathroom had no paper towels, windows were streaky, the outside looks shabby. My chair was missing a glide so it was very tippy. Last time I was there it was in better shape and my meal was good and I had very good service. I was disappointed.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. The food was delicious, the service was decent and the price was good. The family and I will definitely stop again when we are in the area. I suggest the chorizo and egg burrito if you like chorizo.
