So I went in with my family everything was nice but this waiter came up took our order which was hard shell tacos no sour cream and then like left which is normal then he brung our food and our tacos were soft shell my mom's had sour cream on it so she politely sent it back he came back they had put the tacos in a holder didnt change anything so mom told him AGAIN and he went back and brought back the SAME tacos that had the sour cream scraped but it was overall horrible they usally are really good with service and everything

I stopped in 08/15/25 again and I had 2 of my pups with so they let me eat on back deck and they we so nice.

First off what a memorable and wonderful experience at this little Cantina! I was passing through with the Paranormal Team Midwest Spirit Seekers I am a part of and we decided to grab dinner here! The staff were absolutely amazing Flora I believe was our waitresses name, she was fun friendly and down to joke with us! But I’d say what made the whole experience memorable and great was really topped off by Liam going out of his way to make us laugh help us out because i definitely needed to buy their hot sauce it’s 🔥. Liam entertained us and made it feel like we were one of the regulars or family. Definitely a good kid with a lot of talent and potential to do whatever he sets his mind too! His customer service skills were the type I’d hire on the spot and value what he brings to the team! Over all amazing experience! Great laughs and Tasty food! Try it out!

We ordered takeout. When we brought the food back to the hotel, we discovered that the mushrooms we asked for as a topping were not included. The Sour Cream we paid $3 for was a itty bitty take out cup.

My Chorizo burrito was good, however the rice and beans are nothing special, they are just routine offerings. Seemed to be an afterthought.

Our other dishes were not too bad as far as taste but not sure we will be ordering again from here if we are in the area again.

Wow is all I can say at first. Being one that travels for work, it's usually a hit and miss when it comes to finding a good restaurant out there. So when I was on my way home, and decided to stop at Señor Cantina Mexican Restaurant, in West Union, Iowa, I was very happily surprised. Not only is this quaint but obviously family friendly place, very well decorated, and has a unique atmosphere to it, but right away, the clerks were ready to help me, listening to everything that I said, respecting my dietary needs, and sort of helping me through the menu. I ended up ordering a steak burrito, and it was absolutely, utterly delicious! They gave just the right amount of rice, and beans to go with it, and even the sour cream tasted like it was homemade, it was a sweet version of sour cream. Everything was perfect, the food, the atmosphere, and especially the service! I would truly recommend anyone passing through the area or anyone simply in the area, looking for a delicious and filling Mexican meal, to come to Señor Cantina Mexican Restaurant! You will not be sorry! In addition, even though I personally am allergic to alcohol and cannot drink, they looks like they had quite the selection available for those who can.

Great food at great prices!

We stopped by at 6:30 for dinner. Our server was friendly and prompt. We had 2 senior plates. Both of which were cooked well and tasted good.

Just has a bite at senor cantina . Street tacos for me, taco salad for connie.great food and margaritas. As we were backing out waiter came running out to give her debit card

This wonderful, family-owned restaurant offers excellent authentic Mexican cuisine, beers, and frozen margaritas. For less adventurous members of your party, they offer simple burgers and fries, too! The salsas are chef-made, and the various levels of heat offered are terrific! Just let staff know of any dietary restrictions. Flexible, fun, and delicious! Book ahead if you need a bigger table!

Vegetarian options: All vegetarian options are clearly marked, and the kitchen is happy to modify some dishes to meet that need.

Parking: A large, wide open gravel lot with clearly marked Disabled parking spaces are right at the front entry ramp.

Kid-friendliness: Kids and families are always welcomed warmly! You may want to call ahead to reserve a larger table for a big family.
