If you want an amazing mom and Pop style American fair restaurant this is it. We were passing through here on our way up to crater of the moon and they had amazing food. It was quiet. We were the only ones in the restaurant and yet we were very surprised by how good everything was. Clearly, a small town hidden secret. We ordered their chicken fried steak and it was amazing with their scones. Also, their soup of the day was top-notch.
Pickles place was full so we came here. The food was much better here at Golden West than at Pickles! The staff was amazingly friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. All in all this was a better experience than Pickles.
Great restaurant. Good food, fresh. Such a nice server. Decorated nicely and very clean.
Kid-friendliness: We did not have kids but kids were there and they were very welcomed by staff.
