Food and service was excellent. I had pancake breakfast and husband had french toast. Loved the decor and restaurant is very clean.

Worst omelet I've ever had in my life. Eggs tasted like rubber and were over cooked, hardly any cheese.

Well, sorry to say we were disappointed. Service was lacking for sure. We understand how difficult it is to get help. But when you take a seat. Please acknowledge your customer. Sometimes with just a smile! Food servings were good, and you may need a doggy bag. Breakfast was pricey, running almost 40 dollars..

We ordered 3 steak and 1 order of finger steaks. The finger steaks were over cooked, very crunchy and dry 1 steak was ordered as just seared on each side. They did not have a clue how to do that. The steak came medium well Next 2 steaks were ordered as medium rare. They came out medium well done. Salads came with the meals. We got 3 things of just lettuce. And then was stomach sick with the runs that night. When I called all I got was Sorry. I asked if they was going to do anything about it and we were told by a child on the phone No. I heard good things before I went. But none of that came true

Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Not only did we wait an hour for a sandwich and baked potato, but when I asked about when our order would come (after an hour!), I was met with excuses and rudeness. I completely lost my appetite. The waitress had the audacity to ask how much of a tip I wanted to leave, if any at all. Had someone apologized for the wait, asked if there was something they could get us while we waited, anything, I would have thought that at least, they were trying. It's a difficult business, but management and customer service are as important as the food. Would not go back nor recommend.

I must say, this was a pleasant experience. Called I. A rather large order, and the food was excellent. From the chicken fingers, carnie asada an shrimp, to the hamburger steak. It was top notch. This place has been in Ashton for many years, but the food couldn’t be any better. The staf was very friendly. My family will be going back. Again and again. Good job!!!

Served only breakfast until noon. Good basic breakfast of biscuits, pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns. Friendly service!

We were passing through on a 14 day trip and Googled places for breakfast near us. The TRAILS INN restaurant popped up and we found it easily just a block off the HWY. It is SUCH a neat place. All kinds of interesting artifacts and art COVER the log cabin architecture. SUPER clean. VERY friendly staff. AND the biggest breakfast ever! Highly recommend making this restaurant a destination for breakfast or lunch!!!

My wife and I absolutely adore this place for breakfast because it is so authentic. The wait staff is great, and the food is down-home good. We have eaten here 3 times at breakfast going through Ashton Idaho. Their selections are good, solid down home cooking with great portion size. We stayed 30 miles away from here and my wife made me drive here for breakfast because of our experience 2 times before.

Wonderful Restaurant for breakfast. We had a delicious meal of eggs, hash browns, sourdough toast, and huge amount of bacon. The decor was so interesting with lots of animal, bird, and fish mounts. Restrooms were exceptionally clean. Our server was great, didn’t get his name.

Ashton was the last stop of our 10 day national park tour with our 2 Brazilian Exchange students; almost an afterthought before flying out of Bozeman. We spent the night in town, and saw some good reviews on this place. What a breakfast! Everything amazing! Biscuits and gravy for me, veggie omelettes, and the coup de grace was the platter sized cinnamon roll which was enough for all 4 of us...They were VERY busy, but the service was excellent and friendly

Saw lots of folks mention the chicken fried steak so I was interested. It's awesome. Great stop on the way to fish the Henry's Fork or Yellowstone. You have to be a really big eater to finish the steak breakfast--I learned this the hard way the first time. The next two times they were nice enough to sell me just the steak and gravy only without the eggs and potatoes and bread and it was STILL a lot of food. I come every year to fish and this place will be a new regular stop.

My husband and I had an enjoyable dinner at the Trails Inn after a recent day trip to Mesa Falls. My husband ordered steak and I ordered trout. The portions were very generous, and our server was friendly and conscientious. The surroundings were pleasant and clean.
