Candle in the Woods Reviews
We celebrated our 15th Anniversary at Candle in the Woods. It was a very unique and special dining experience - unlike anything we’ve ever encountered! We live over an hour away, and it was well worth the drive and cost. We loved trying new foods and combinations of food (*steak s’mores*). The wine pairing was expertly selected. If you’re celebrating something, go try Candle in the Woods!
We had a group event and it was absolutely amazing !! Beautiful restaurant and food. Such a fun atmosphere. I loved all the courses and the upstairs pub feel and the outdoor patio in the back and the elegant dinning room. Thanks so much!
Absolutely recommend Candle in the Woods!! The menu was outstanding! Their attention to detail was impressive. Between timing all of the courses, the drinks, and the place settings, they worked like a well oiled machine! Connor and his staff were so much fun & I can’t wait to come back!

Candle in the Woods offers an exquisite dining experience that exceeds expectations. From the moment guests arrive, they are enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each dish is meticulously crafted with locally sourced ingredients, creating a harmonious blend of innovative and delicious flavors. The presentation of the meals is nothing short of art, and the personal touch and passion of the chef add a unique and intimate dimension to the experience. Many guests describe their meal as a celebration of life, with each bite being a cherished moment. The wine and food pairings are exceptional, providing a culinary adventure that is unlike anything nearby or in most big cities. The staff, including the attentive front-end manager, are friendly, professional, and engaging. Allergies and aversions are handled with care, ensuring all guests feel comfortable and included.
The dining experience at Candle in the Woods is on the pricier side and requires reservations made 3 to 6 months in advance. While some guests have noted that the wine selection could be improved, with a few standout options like the Long Shadows Feather Cabernet, the overall food is widely regarded as off the chart delicious. Some visitors have also mentioned that the music can be loud, making conversation difficult at times. Despite these minor issues, Candle in the Woods is still considered a memorable and remarkable culinary journey that leaves guests eager to return.
