The fish was so bad could not cut it with a fork it was not eaten, slaw tasted old, nachos were dipped in grease. Hope food gets a whole lot better.

Awesome spot to stop for beer and food. Had a decent beer selection and good variety of food and appetizers. Had great local vibes. These are the places we look for on our trips, to get a feel for the area and local culture. Would personally rather be here than a fancy resort.

They chicken sandwich was the bomb <3 yum! Big chicken pieces and the fries were so good. The view is outstanding and wait staff was very friendly. On spot with the orders.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you’re anywhere near Bayview and don’t stop at Captain’s Wheel, I’m convinced you don’t actually like joy. This place is boat-friendly, people-friendly, and most importantly stomach-friendly. Easy access from the water means you can dock, eat, and pretend you’re a fancy yacht owner all in one smooth move.
Now let’s talk food. Everyone raves about the “adult grilled cheese,” and for good reason it’s not your childhood sandwich. This thing is like grilled cheese that went abroad, studied philosophy, and came back wearing designer shoes. Gooey, golden, and downright addictive. If sandwiches had dating profiles, this one would be totally in my league.
The staff? Quick with a smile and the kind of people who make you feel like you’ve been a regular for years even if you just showed up in flip-flops asking if they serve fries by the pound (they don’t, but they should).
Bottom line: Captain’s Wheel is proof that happiness floats and it tastes like an adult grilled cheese.

Waitress was by herself and was amazing! The fries were very good but the fish very poor.

Service was great! Three of our 4 meals was good. Nice view from the restaurant. Just felt like a small town restaurant atmosphere which was really welcoming.

Went up to Athol and decided to head out to Bayview for lunch with the pups. Captains wheel was perfect with outside grass, tables, shade and more. Staff and food were both excellent and they even brought out three dog bowls and gave the dogs a little treat. Will definitely come back and highly recommended if in the area.

Nice small town atmosphere. However there are no Gluten-free options so we did not stay.
Great local bar highly recommend 👌

A longtime establishment in Bayview. Bar/restaurant with a kinda funky vibe. Pool tables, inside/outside seating. Faces out towards the docs. Entertainment on weekends. Food was great and plenty of it!

Enjoyed the butterfly coconut shrimp & cream cheese jalapeño peppers. Their fries r DELICIOUS!!! 😋
They also have a full bar, great view, dart board and pool table. Im here on karaoke night (Sat 8/9/2025) which mostly consisted of a good DJ playing outlaw country, darts and pool. ♡
