I was told that this steakhouse was absolutely amazing, so we went to give it a try, and from the very beginning, our coffee was cold. They forgot to put it on the warmer, all of our food that came out was super cold and way way overdone. Apparently the warmers had broken and did not let us know that until afterwards. But I feel when you go to a nice steakhouse there should not be warmers anyways you should be able to get that food out at a reasonable time. When you pay $59 for a steak, I would like to be able to chew it without it being so tough I could not even cut it. Had to ask for water over and over again no one was there to help us. there was one server that was taken care of everyone there and there was no one else that was helping. Half of our meal did not come completed so they sent things out even colder than what they were from the very beginning. I was super frustrated and told them that I would never come back to this establish ever again.
We got charged four dollars for not even a tablespoon of onions. Pretty much the entire meal and evening was absolutely terrible. Not one time did they even try to discount our meal that we did not even eat, I took three bites of my steak and didn’t touch anything else because everything was so cold.
The other problem I had is, we didn’t even get an apology. We just got a whole bunch of excuses of why things went wrong.

It was amazing when it was Teton House. But now, the vegetables were cooked in vinegar and then put next to my steak and it destroyed the flavor. The potato was sub par. The only redeeming quality was the service was decent.

The potatoes were a bit undercooked, and everything on my main plate was cold, but it tasted ok.

Horrible Restaurants

So many dysfunctional things about this place:

1.The food is horrendous. The potatoes are never properly cooked—they’re either too cold or burnt to a crisp. They rarely have any meat, which is ironic for a “steakhouse.” And when they do have meat, it’s poorly seasoned and badly cooked. Overall, the food is terrible.

2. Staffing is a mess. The owners must have no idea how this place operates when they’re not around. The so-called “head chef” is rarely in the kitchen—he’s usually sitting at the bar complaining about his staff. On the few occasions I’ve been there, I’ve seen him make multiple employees cry with his disrespectful behavior. He openly says he doesn’t even want to be there. Why is someone like that your head chef? He treats employees horribly and never cooks. That’s a seriously questionable decision.

Overall: This place used to be a great restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. While the service is still decent, the head chef and new management are running the place into the ground. At this point, they might as well just pull the plug.

A follow up to this original review: Excellent, Steak perfect. Halibut perfect. Server Christine rounded out a beautiful experience. Highly recommend.

New review involves abolutely no stars. Strangely the owners seem to not care as they don't address the buildup of negative reviews here.

Update: Third visit - once with original owners and twice with new owners. This is the last. Birthday celebration became nightmare. Two people - $130 tab. Lukewarm halibut and french fries was sent back came back slightly warmer. Steak was order medium-rare and was served well done, non seasoned, barely warm and tough. Menu said it was aged - probably while on the hoof. Scalloped potatoes way undercooked, hard and lukewarm. They were out of brussel sprout petals and substituted some ground up brussel sprout thing without any compensation. Promised bread on the menu was never served. Ordered a Manhattan only to realize it was a double when I was brought the tab. Ordered a draught beer and was brought a brand I did not order - and the beer was flat. Realized at this point that after allowing the benefits of doubts we left. They said to support local businesses and we did. Unfortunately this establishment is on life support awaiting the owners to pull the plug.

This has been our go-to place to take guests when they come to town, and our fave date night spot, as this has PREVIOUSLY been the BEST dinner place in town, we didn't realize the change in ownership when we went last (June 2025)... the menus still said Teton House (not the new Taste of Teton), but most of the menu items had much higher price tags on them. My husband and I ordered our favourite dishes, but got barely a shadow of what we've previously gotten. The meat was gamey, and the scalloped potatoes weren't cooked (barely warm and clearly raw)... our server needed to go help cook in the back, so we got a new server.
Our (terrible) meal was over $100... for 2 people.
I know it takes time to make a switch... but perhaps change the menu and cook the things you're good at instead of charging so much for something you're not comfortable cooking.

Food tasted terrible and was way overpriced. I’ve had better prime rib at Taco Bell.

I came in2 ur establishment this past week & was very unimpressed by my visit there...

My food was overcooked & had strong seasoning... The service staff wasn't much better...

During my stay I waited so long after my drinks arrived that I just about walked out... I seen service members stepping out 2 smoke numerous times with gloves on at all... My waitress was ignorant & seemed put out...
I've heard such good things about this place... Sadly Disappointed... 0 stars 4 me...

Food was very plain, the beef was low quality, and the presentation was poor. Despite being the only table it took quite a while to get our food. They let out food sit out on the expo for 5 minutes eating fries over it instead of giving it to us.
