This was on our list of places to try while in Bonners Ferry. It was excellent. Food was very authentic (she was from South America) and so good. Lamb sandwich and papusa was spot on.
Working in bonners ferry and I was shocked to see a pupuseria..so after work I told myself..ok I must try this place..went in it's a great little restaurant..I ordered the Salvadoren breakfast and of course papusa..they make it there ..not heated from the fridge you can hear her slapping the masa for the Papusa and put on the grill..so yes it might take a little longer but it was so worth it..and the fried platano and beans reminded me of my childhood..the Papusa wasn't...
What an unexpected hidden gem in Bonners Ferry! The owners are super friendly and the service is unbeatable. The food is so good too! The pupusas are delicious, the potato pancake is delicious, and the fried plantains with ice cream are fantastic! Oh, and the made-to-order guacamole is phenomenal.
