We love this place! Dirk and Kim are a wonderful team and John and Mootsey round it out nicely! We love pizza night especially but their steaks and pasta are on point!
The menu offers an excellent variety of dining options.
The food is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend dining at the lodge .

First dining experience at this unique place. Discovered through Google map search. Only open 3 hrs/day do you Jay want to call ahead & reserve one of their ten tables.
Excellent service, very friendly and cozy setting. The menu was a beautiful variety of foods. We started with amazing French onion soup and chose the ribeye special and lasagna as our entrees - it was excellent! They serve beer & wine as well. We will be going back ;-)

This is a quaint, hometown, personal 5 star dining experience. Dirk and his beautiful wife are wonderful and the themed Tour of Italy meal brought us back to old Sicilian family recipes.

This is our three times there and service is never their forte. The servers are not especially friendly and helpful and they rush you to pay at the end of day. Food can be either really good or mediocre, it really depends on what you order. Our experience has never been great so I don’t think we will return.
Vegetarian options: Very limited selection!

We love the Tavern! We have been multiple times for dinner and special occasions. The “dinner for two” is a fun one to share when celebrating! It’s always a great experience with fun dishes that aren’t your run-of-the-mill meals, all inspired by European cuisine. When we found out they are now offering breakfast daily and Sunday brunch, we were stoked!! And it didn’t disappoint. Delicious! Especially their biscuits and schnitzel!

We went looking for something new, and this place was exactly what we wanted. No plain American food. They had Holland/ Austria/ Germany based foods crafted with expert hands. We walked in of the street, and they immediately offered a place. They did suggest reserving a table if we for sure wanted a place later. The soothing atmosphere made me want to set back and take on my surroundings. There is a lot to take in, too. Decorations and music from that area of the world made me really want to visit again. You pay for what you get. The prices are on the higher side, but the food is gourmet with passion! You can tell the chef loves what he does. The waitress was friendly and down to earth. Willing to tell us how her lemon-sweetened iced tea was made.
Kid-friendliness: They might be okay with children, but it is a very peaceful, calm setting that would be hard to take kids to.
Parking: There are enough places, but it's a smaller parking lot for a restaurant.

Excellent food and service!
Stop scolling. Stop searching for a dinner spot. You have arrived and you'll come back over and over. Just had our final dinner of vacation here after a long hike and it was BY FAR the best meal of our trip! Unpictured was the salmon & sol special (divine), the Holland Schnitzel, and our appetizers of stuffed mushrooms (the best we have ever had), salmon pate, and garlic mussels (holy smokes so good). Do yourself a favor and eat here ASAP!
Great food and service, large portions
