Most people wouldn't give the black bear tavern second glance let alone to stop in for a cold beer.I've driven past the black bear tavern many times and for some strange reason it always brings a movie to mind, jeepers creepers! Now I'm not sure why it reminds me of that movie but i definitely had to stop.I'm glad i did. Not only did I get to enjoy some ice cold beer, but I met some mighty friendly folks one if which who was tending the bar who even showed me his classic truck equipped with a keg and taps!Talk about an awesome little watering hole.

Good beer, big crowd of regulars, ran into an old classmate from high school. Lots of Nascar memorabilia. Owner bought every one in the bar a round.

If your not local you Will be hated. I went in sat for 20 mins and left cuz I didn't get waited on
30 years ago my car broke down in front of Black Bear Tavern. I went inside looking for a pay phone. A cowboy there asked what was going on and I told him about my car. Without hesitation he hooked up my car to his truck and towed me in to town.I will never forget this man and his kindness.

This place is a treasure. Low lights, old beer signs, smoking inside still allowed. People here are absolutely friendly and its great. Im glad places like this still exist

Love this home town bar.
