My adult daughter and I made reservations based on Amano's reputation and Chef's James Beard award status. Our dinners exceeded expectations. We had the ceviche with salmon and the lingcod tartare appetizers, which nicely contrasted each other, the former being sweeter with grilled pineapple and the latter more tart with lime and guava. My daughter had the Carnitas Michoacán pork, which was perfectly seasoned and braised to fall-apart tender. I had the Baja fish tacos...
This is my absolute favorite restaurant ever. I get the carne asada tacos every time and they are always PERFECT. I have celiac and the staff is very knowledgeable about what can be made gluten free. The menu is not labeled gluten free but there are only three menu items that cannot be made gluten free. My partner has tried a lot of different dishes and they are also always delicious.

Happy Birthday done right 🎂 don't second guess....just make the reservation. You will not be disappointed. The drinks...TOP Notch. Food AMAZING. Company at the table...your choice but mine was....the best!!! Overall worth the prices.
